Figured this theme was in desperate need of a rework for some time now, but I didn't really know what to do with it and didn't want to upload something that doesn't feel like a definitive improvement. Now, this is much inspired by my last theme arrangement-wise and it feels less plain and a lot more organized to me than before. Let me know your opinion, especially in comparison to the original version.
Also, I'm aware that Lillie P R O B A B L Y won't be the champion for Sword & Shield, but I don't really care. Not really a fan of the actual champion tbh.

I wish Pokémon acknowledges their previous characters into newer games. They make such amazing and intriguing characters but never use to their full potential.
A_g18 they only acknowledge Red:(

They used to but then Nintendo figured constantly reintroducing the characters was a means to make money and because they want the TV show to tie in with the games more as sort of a advertisement design where the games promote the show and vise versa. So rather than have some sort of continuity with a sequel they just have "remakes" that make you want to get them because they change the game ever so slightly to inspire you to want them. Obviously that doesn't make the games bad but it does mean that the odds of seeing any kind of character development or story continuity will be primarily determined by where the TV show goes with very few exceptions such as Red and Blue cause you gotta have something to keep the "old" fans coming back.
They did it a couple of times with Red and Blue in Su/Mo and the World Tournament in Black/White 2, but they should do it more.

I've never even thought about this possibility until coming across this video, but Lillie reappearing as a champion would actually be a really cool way to wrap up her character.
Also I have to say this music is fantastic! Feels emotional yet intense, fitting for a suprise final boss encounter with an old friend.
In some future game having a more experienced Lillie traveling around would be cool. Sort of like how Sun and Moon you got to see a bunch of characters from older games and more grown up versions of Red and Blue.

Lillie: In the past I was viewed as a doll by my mother, I was shy, and I didn't like Pokemon battles... I thought they were to cruel and dangerous for Pokemon, but then I met them, always striving to be better along with their Pokemon, they as well as their Pokemon looked so happy... I wanted to be like that to, I-I wanted to be of help to them not be the one that needed help... I even tried to pretend battling with Nebby, but I was seen by one of them and felt so embarrassed, but I did want to join in, I wanted to battle alongside them, but I was to scared to... But now it's different, after that incident I decided I will no longer be under anyone's shaddow, I will fight for myself, my Pokemon, and for them. They risked it all to help me save Nebby, and undo my mother's mistakes, so now I'll make sure I'm strong enough so when the time comes I'll stand alongside the both of them not as someone that will sheer for them, but as someone who can fight with them... So Challenger... Show me just how strong you really are, so I can become stronger!

I actually can imagine Lillie saying this.
The old version of this theme makes me think of Lillie rising above her doubts and fears to find the determination to face her own role model. This version gives me the feeling of a Lillie who has overcome innumerable difficult battles as a Champion, and these experiences have molded who she is today.
Months later and I’m still coming back! One of the most beautiful (and also intimidating) fan themes that I’ve heard.
I doubt this sort of thing would take place but it’s an amazing theme. Incredible idea for her to be a champion. 10/10👍

Goes to show that anyone can become a champion.
I like the thought of her being like Glacia (where Ice types are so rare in the region that people dont know how to deal with them)
They should make a tournament as a post game in one pokemon game like the battle tree but it’s like a future arc where you fight people like Lillie or Wally when they grown up to be god tier or maybe as a long shot they should do that for the past player characters in a fighting red kinda fashion

And after that cup you know which Pokemon trainer is the best
And everyone use there Cover legendary Pokemon

I would very much prefer it if she had a balanced team of multiple types the likes of Cynthia, instead of a Type specialist. It's Ok to have a Theme (Like Steven with his 'Mineral & Ancient' themed team), but not going with the whole party sharing a specific type makes for a better fight.
If Lillie is never mentioned again the future games, I’m going to cry 😢
Still the theme I listen to the most. This needs to be used. And Champion Lili with Alolan Ninetales all the way. The artwork and music here are both amazing.
I don't really expect it to happen the very next generation, they could milk it where by like Gen 10 or 12 she reaches the position of a champion of Alola. And in between you get that "character development" people overly praise by her simply battling semi competently, to averagely competently, with dialouge of her being confident and giving advice.
She technically has the most potential to draw in newer fans that simply want to see her react and act to situations. Could even be given "Special episodes" where she's the point of focus character in the anime as Ash does his whatever.
She'll be just like N. He was one of the most memorable and developed NPC but never seen him since Gen 5.

If her partner was an Alolan Ninetales and she became the champion of Kanto... that just feels like the biggest subversion of Gen 1. A variant of a Gen 1 pokemon who has the weakest type and a completely unknown one to them (for the most part).
Gosh darn this battle theme is good, I'd play it in loop for at least a couple hours straight lol.
I wish there was an in game time skip where Lilie comes back and you battle her for champion title after you finish some extra storyline

Altaria (her ride pokemon in the anime)
Magerna (she fixes one in the anime)
Mega Venusaur (her starter from when she went to Kanto, bulbasaur woud be the obvious choice for her)
Solgaleo/Lunala (nebby would come from an ultra wormhole to aid her in battle just like the good old days)
or she could pull a Volo and have it so nebby comes in after her inital 6. in that case she would have either Ribombee, Comfey or Polteageist (battle tree and masters)
this would be a very intense champion fight especialy since she would have 2 legendries on her team

I honestly do feel like her becoming a champ would work really well. Especially if she sticks with Fairy types, since while I am aware she seems more like an ice-user, it would fit because she is like the polar opposite of her angsty edgelord of a brother. Fairies are very good pokemon in general, and I feel like she would use them to the best of their abilities since she seems like a very sincere trainer.

When i saw this, i remembered that i transformed Gloria into Lillie in my Shield's game
In other words, i made SW/SH a direct sequel of S/M but with the change that she didn't went to Kanto, she went to Galar and became the champion who dethroned the undefeated Leon
I wanted to do almost exactly that with LGE, but I'm a broke uni student who doesn't have a Switch xD glad to hear I'm.not the only one desperate to see Lillie's story continue!

Before LGPE got released and we found out where they were in the timeline, I was fully expecting Lillie to appear in those games on her own journey. The setup could've been perfect, but alas we were denied

You know, it sounds as if this battle theme was kind of melancholic.
Imagine there's a machine with AI simulating battles against champions that have passed away due to unknown reasons and this machine replicates how these trainers would have loved the landscape for their last battle to be.
Imagine battling against Lillie in a platform up in tge middle of the sky where all you can see is the ocean.

My first Pokemon game was Sun and Moon ( I have played every single game and I am now a Teenager )
My favorite character from Sun and Moon was Lillie ( I even had a crush on her )

You know...Red and Blue are great characters; there's no denying they're iconic, and i love it when they show up to hang out...but listening to this music and seeing people make hypothetical comments on what Lillie would say before this battle, I suddenly realize that Pokemon has a treasure trove of three-dimensional characters that they're not doing anything with...not in the main series, anyway. There's so much that the storywriters could do with these characters...but instead they settle on giving Red, Blue, and a handful of other breakout characters little more than glorified cameos. And here I thought the anime was doing a terrible job with its wasted premise (for now), but at least they acknowledge Ash's long history of friendships every now and then. It's not much, but it's more than the main games have done.
I think her theme should sound more like a mix between her two versions of the S/M tracks. Her normal one, and her Z-Powered version should definitely be used as inspiration for any of her fanmade songs~

Well my idea is that she has 6 Pokemon. Her last pokemon would be ninetales (snowy) and she would be an ice and water type user but when u fight her final pokemon nine tales. They have it as a gigantamax and it’s appears to has the move G-max Hailstorm avalanche. She would have a positive stat boost move on every Pokemon and it would be her fir st move to use a stat raising move then attack with ice and water type moves. Her pokemon would be abomasnow nine tales as we all know. Lapras and dew gong and mr rime bc it does have an ice move but Lillie throws her opponent off by having an ice/psychic type then the first Pokemon she would bring out would be vanillite I think.Oh and all her pokemon would have high speed and attack stats but low defense stats and good special attack but average special defense and abomasnow and nine tales would have highest hp

You know why alolan ninetalis is the perfect default partner for lillie?
Its becauce anime lillie is an ice tamer and game lillie is a fairy type trainer.

It would be a masterpiece if Lillie mastered the Totem aura and her Pokémon Battle with that Aura making them Beasts boosting they're stats by two AND if her Ninetail got a Z-move. I see Lillie like a final boss tho so like Red Pokémon at level 80 with Auras and even a Mega if we want to make players cry

I have a team for Lille
So we all l ow that one of her Pokémon will be alolian nine tales but I was thinking what if Solgaleo came back to Lillie for one of her Pokémon and then maybe she can have an alolian sandslash and then she can have a Lycanroc like her brother and she could have like an arctovolt and a galarian darmanitan with zen mode, I know that this may make her like an ice type gym leader kinda thing but I think it could work.

Personally, i think if they ever make black and white remakes, they should definitely put Lillie in it. It would make sense story wise since team plasma has DNA splicers and she's trying to fix her mom. Id be super cool if she like joins team plasma or something and the player has to get her to quit. Maybe they could give her kyrum or something as a pokemon aswell.
She is MAJESTIC
After seeing this video I actually gave some thought about how awesome it would be if Lillie did come back in the future game. Then I decided to entertain myself and think about how I would handle the writing of said game. Something I do quite often with other stories that I experience. This is the outline of the story that I came up with.
(Disclaimer: I know this kind of thing is never going to happen but I still wanted to try making the story as pokemon game-esque as possible. And it propably wouldn't make pegi 3 or 7 that most pokemon games are trying to accomplish.)
So basically this would be straight up sequel to sun and moon games. The new region had once strong culture in pokemon battles but then a war break out (similar to kalos regions history). After that incident people started to look at pokemon battles with scorn and once huge part of the culture was reduced to a small underground gimmick.
Enter Lillie who with her newfound determination manages to revive pokemon battles through years of hard work. She even starts up a pokemon trainer school organisation and revives the pokemon league (with gyms), and becomes its champion.
The protagonist of the story is an older version of the player character in sun and moon (yes, it does break the formula of ten year old protags but I just want those two to reunite). After losing his champions seat in Alola he decides to go and travel the world and arrives in the new region. There he decides to take the gym challenge while exploring the region. Throughout the adventure he learns about the regions history aswell as the great feats of the reigning champion whose name nor face conviniently doesn't come up eaven when running around many trainer schools of the region.
There are still people who oppose pokemon battles and the situation gets even worse because there is some evil organisation looming in the shadows trying to trigger another conflict or something. In the end protagonist solves the problem at least temporarily meanwhile the famous champion is doing her own stuff. And when the word about the unrest arrives to her the problem is already solved.
After the player defeats the elite four it is time for the reunion of old friends. As Lillie has matured she has become a strong woman kind of like Cynthia but her personality could be described as a bit of an airhead. (I just wanted to imagine champion Lillies personality close to that of Durandal from Honkai impact 3rd and couldn't get it out of my head) This kind of serves as a real conclusion to Lillies arc since the player character from the sun and moon was the one who inspired her to become a pokemon trainer in the first place.
After losing the battle Lillie decides to focus mostly on working with the Trainer School Organisation (TSO for short) as its head.
The post game would propably involve stuff like doing missions for TSO and even fighting alongside Lillie trying to root out last remains of the evil team.
If you got this far to the comment I would love to hear some feedback on the outline of that fanfic story. The reason being that it's my dream to someday write my own original stories for people to read. I realize btw that this is propably not the most ideal place to post something like this comment so no professor Oak- answers (don't ride bike indoors) needed. ;) I just wanted to share this in the context of that video, that's all.

After fighting your way through the elite four, your team barely scraping by a win, you make your way up a long staircase of marble white metal. A massive white tower that appeared to be a repurposed observatory of sorts sits in the distance with odd machinery attached to it and a crane elevator dangles beside a door on the right side, overtop a lagoon of sorts. Upon reaching the doors, you throw them open to reveal a laboratory, decorated in pink and white. Pictures of ancient pokemon and diagrams of wormholes and mechanism jot the walls alongside machines of various styles and mysterious functions. On the upper levels, a voice can be heard muttering only to interrupted with a sudden burst of energy;
"OH! I have to go mom! I will talk to you later! Love you!... ... Be right down! Hold that thoughts challenger!"
With a click and a mechanical wirring and a soft ethereal humming, a section of the upper levels in front of the challenger began to lower itself using a form of anti-gravity device. Standing atop the platform was a young woman in her mid twenties, her hair an almost unnatural cream color with straight edges, done up in a long ponytail that reached to the base of her spine. She was dressed in a white sundress adorned with patterns of waves and starry skies with a brooch at the collar depicting an odd blue and gold egg shaped item. She also had a labcoat lazily draped onto her shoulders, decorated with various stickers and patches depicting various locations and pokemon. And her eyes, a bright emerald color, partially hidden behind a pair of thin rimmed reading glasses. She carried herself with an air of elegance and poise, but still with a childlike innocence. Exemplified by her tendency to shift nervously as her platform came to a stop at the bottom floor to face the challenger. Smiling, she clasped her hands infront of her and bowed.
"Welcome! Welcome! Thank you for coming. It's not everyday that I get a challenger to my humble little home. I'm Lillie, and I'm the Champion here. An absolute pleasure to meet you [Insert player name]."
The woman's soft smile warmed your heart, filling you with a sense of comfort the likes of which the other trainers could only hope to distill upon others. Lillie let out a soft chuckle as she pulled off her glasses and her lab coat to allow a small Pidgey to grab them from her and set them on the table nearby as well as picking up a remote of sorts and returning to her, dropping the object in her hand with a coo. Only to be gifted with a soft pet and another smile in return.
"So, I suppose you want to challenge me right? That is fantastic! Thankfully, I have just the thing for this. You see, last time I battled a trainer we sorta... trashed my lab... it was a mess." She said slightly embarrassed while puffing out her cheeks. "But this time! I came prepared with an old invention from my mom! I of course added my own touches to it to make it easier to use though!" And with a click of the button, the floor below the two began to shake and glow before a TRULY MASSIVE wormhole opened up beneath the two and dropped them down into it's gapping maw. Through space and time, the two fell, the challenger panicking a bit and flailing, but Lillie seemed almost at home here. Swimming through the waves of broken spacetime, giggling as she glided. Not long after, the two were both spit out of the wormhole. The challenger landing ungracefully as expected, but Lillie landing perfectly on her feet before fixing her hair and smiling. They now sat within a massive open space. A void of stars and galaxies drifting throughout with various wormholes opening and closing as mysterious creatures and pokemon passed between them. Beneath them, they sat on a massive seemingly endless pokemon stadium made out of solid white translucent glass with gold lining. Lillie let out a slight giggle at the challengers obvious amazement.
"I found this pretty place when I was exploring. Had a bit of help from a friend and a friend's friend to make it though so I can't take all the credit." Another soft giggle escaped her before she tapped a previously covered bracelet to summon a pokeball to her hand through another tiny wormhole.
"Enough with the theatrics on my part! I, Champion Lillie challenge you to a pokemon battle, and I will not be holding back one bit!"
And with those words, the final battle began. Champion Lillie Versus The Ultimate Challenger.

I Hope they put her with Zinnia evwry time i play the delta episode or see lillie go to kanto in sun and Moon (and I did It like 5 times or more) i cry, and so i'll do if I don't see my girls on the switch!

Why they didnt put lillie in the ice gym in the game
Great mix! I felt as if I was battling a long time friend, just one thing, the ultra ball in the art, Lillie has three known pokemon (four to anime fans) only Clefairy isn't kept in a poke ball, Clefairy is in a heal ball, otherwise perfect

After becoming Champion and completed all of Isle of Armor's quests, you can travel to Motostoke where you'll meet a tall blond woman.
"Alola! You seem quite nice. Can you show me how to get to Windon?"
"Oh who am I? I'm Lillie, a humble tourist from the Alola region."
"Why do I wanna go to Windon? My brother wanted an autograph from the Champion in the region."
"Oh my? You're the Champion? I thought his name was Leon."
"Ah I see I see. I see a look in your eye. Mind if I battle you?"
"Thank you for accepting, I'll be sure to deliver a great battle!"
Lillie will have 3 Pokemon with her when you battle her the first time. A Ribombee, a Clefable and a Comfey.
"A super effective move! As expected of a Champion!"
"Just one left. Okay, let's push forward together!"
"It seems I have lost. Congratulations Champion."
"That passion reminds me of a certain friend. They are why I stand before you as the person I am now."
"So, can you take me to Windon?"
After a brief cutscene, you can travel to Windon's Battle Tower. When you enter, you can see Lillie talking to Leon.
"Ah *Player Name*, here for the Battle Tower? Feel free to approach any of the staff. Also..."
"This here is Lillie, Alola's Champion and Vice-President of the Aether Foundation there."
"Oh? You've already met her?"
"Mhm, it has been quite the treat fighting *Player Name*."
"What? You already battled *Player Name*??? I wish I was there to see it."
"Don't worry, it wasn't much Leon."
"Nonsense Lillie, I'm sure it was incredible regardless."
"Such enthusiasm for battle, I'm sure Professor Kukui will like you."
"Then send him my regards haha! Well, you said you wanted something?"
"Indeed, my brother wanted to your autograph."
"Hm... Oh I know... How about this. *Player Name* You up for a little challenge?"
"You are gonna be part of this too Lillie. If you want that autograph..."
Leon does the Charizard Pose.
"You are gonna have to go straight to the top."
"See you guys up there!"
Leon then runs off with enthusiasm. Lillie stares dumbfounded.
"Geez, that was rather rude. However, I can't deny the fact it sounds rather fun. So you up for it? You don't have to go immediately, I'll be hanging around Windon."
Till this little sidequest is complete, you can battle alongside Lillie in the Battle Tower. When in the battle tower, Lillie will use Comfey, Clefable and Rimbombee, focusing on supporting your team.
"We won! Nice going partner."
"That was amazing. I never thought I would battle a fellow Champion."
"Now about that autograph..."
"Ah right! What do you want me to sign it on."
"What about this?"
"Certainly!"
Leon will sign something and hand it back to Lillie.
"It was fun battling you Leon, and it was great having a partner like *Player Name*. I ought to be going now. My trip back to Alola is soon."
"Have a good one Lillie!"
If you travel to Wedgehurst, you can find Lillie outside the train station.
"Ah *Player Name*! Here to see me off? Thank you!"
"Actually, I was hoping to see you one more time."
"I never got to battle you seriously. It took me a bit to get everyone familiar with the place, but I'm up for a serious battle now."
"Okay! Come on team! Let's go!"
Lillie will have 5 Pokemon. A Ribombee, Clefable, Granbull, Togekiss and Alolan Ninetails.
"Let's go all out!"
"Down to one, okay. Let me show you Alola's strength!"
When her last Pokemon is defeated, a Ultra Wormhole appears in the sky. If you have Sword Solgaleo will appear while Shield will have Lunala. Lillie will stare in shock before realizing it is Nebby.
"Okay Nebby! Let's go!"
Once you defeat Nebby, Lillie will smile before giving Nebby a gentle pat.
"That was amazing *Player Name*. Here, have this."
Lillie will have you an Island Challenge Amulet.
"This is an Island Challenge Amulet. It's not a real one of course. In Alola, it's tradition for children who reach 11 to attempt the challenge."
"A good friend of mine did the challenge and in a funny twist of events, became Alola's first Champion."
"They have however left Alola a few years ago and I was put into the position, after beating all my friends in battle of course. If you ever have the chance, come visit Alola. As champion I'm sure you'll pass the trials brilliantly."
"Bzzt! Train leaving the Galar Region is now ready to board. Train leaving the Galar Region is now ready to board."
"My how time flies. I must be going on. Alola to you *Player Name*!"
Once you see Lillie off, you can visit Sonia after beating the Crown Tundra to learn that mysterious portals have suddenly popped up at different stadiums, with the first one being in Motostoke. You can travel to Motostoke to learn that Ultra Beasts have invaded Galar and Dynamax'd. Solgaleo/Lunala will suddenly appear and battle the threat alongside you temporarily. After you defeat the Motostoke Ultra Beast, you can find Solgaleo waiting at the Wild Area in the morning and Lunala at night. You then get to catch them. The Ultrabeasts cannot be caught while Dynamax'd, but once they have been defeated you can find one prowling the Wild Area but only after you talk to Sonia about them.
This is amazing. I hope pokemon did more something like this with their old characters

I changed it a little and added a bit more including how the battle would play:
At the end of the Crown Tundra she reveals that she is the champion of Galar and beat Leon before you. She says "I've been watching you. You remind me of an old friend from years before. They changed me for the better. I used to hate pokemon battles; I felt how the pokemon felt and didn't want them to get hurt. My friend befriended their pokemon and battled with them. They were the strongest trainer I knew, the champion of Alola. Let's see if you can compare to them!" Champion Lillie has 5 pokemon starting with Alolan Ninetails (nickname: Snowy). You go through her other 4 pokemon (Magearna, Alolan Sandslash, Clefable, Dusk form Lycanroc (Ash's)) and she looks disappointed that she "lost". A Ultra Wormhole appears and out comes lunala/solgaleo depending on the game you're playing. She pats their head and give it star treats from her bag. Champion Lillie says "Lunala/Solgaleo now isn't the time for this. Leave." As the legendary doesn't move she realises that it's nebby and asks Nebby if they will help her. Nebby agrees and the last pokeball icon becomes a sun/moon. You then fight Champion Lillie's last pokemon Nebby. After she loses she gives you 50,000 pokedollars and says "You have proven your worth. You remind me of my friend... Champion. I don't have much but take this cosmog I have as payment in addition to the 50,000 pokedollars. Thank you." The whole battle it plays this theme.
Lillie said she was going to Kanto right? Imagine if they made the Johto remakes for switch and you get to the Elite 4, only to find it’s Lillie that’s champion and not Lance. How awesome would that be?
Judging by the Alolan Ninetales yeah she could have definitely defeated Lance with it being a duo Ice and Fairy type two of Dragon’s greatest weakness besides itself
Unfortunately, that would make no sense chronologically since the events in the Johto region happened ~10 years prior to the events in SuMo. That's why you meet a very young Mina (the fairy captain) in Let's Go...
The possibility would be Gen 9 Kanto remake

While battling her, you notice that she only has five Pokémon. Upon defeating her last one, an Ultra Wormhole opens up in the sky and out comes either Solgaleo in Sword or Lunala in Shield. Either way, when they approach her, Lillie reaches out touches their head, and upon doing so, she realizes it is her old friend Nebby, coming to offer their help, which she accepts and the battle continues.
