      I’m curious on how you properly season the wok with only 575 degrees F, assuming the wok is carbon steel? I use a commercial grade outdoor propane wok burner at home, and you need a hot blue flame impinging on the bottom of the wok to properly season/‘heat treat’ it, in which a dark spot appears in the center of the wok the propagates outward/upward, forming a rainbow-colored ring (think the rainbow coloration of the metal annealing process). You need to be able to rotate/pivot/swivel the wok about the burner flame such that the rainbow hue propagates across the entire inner surface of the wok, leaving a mottled grayish appearance on the steel in the rainbow ring’s wake. It is only after completing the described step that you wipe the inside of the wok with oil, heat it to smoking, then wipe it down with more oil and repeat the heating to smoking. By doing this three or more times, you will create a film of polymerized oil on n the carbon steel surface that makes it rust resistant and nonstick. As for wok cooking, you need to be able to lift the wok off the burner to swirl and toss the food in the wok while still maintaining a hot flame to provide the high heat flux, both convective and radiative, as it the combination of the conductive, convective and radiative heating zones that, combined with a well seasoned wok, produces the desired wok hei essence. I’m wondering how much wok hei an induction wok setup will produce?

    1. Almost no other wok fits in this thing. 2. 575 is NOT that hot for a wok. My butane burner which cost $35 on Amazon gets to almost 1700 degrees. 3. 199 for an induction burner that only fits one pan. Nice.
    Stop buying NuWave bullshit.

      This shit won’t ever come close to a hot wok burner. Plus it’s electric!
