Keep in mind that supply chain vendors could be restructuring themselves with refining and improving safeguards to prevent another failure in future global incidents, and we've recently seen how unions had a direct impact on production as well. Great video about aviation business. Thanks.
Emirates will greatly feel the benefit in fuel efficiency with the A350 & it`s later generation engines compared to what they`re used to. It`s a win-win purchase for them & their customers.
A350 is great with its engine efficiency and should replace their ancient 777-200LRs, although when/if the 777x finally comes around they will probably begin ordering them instead (it has even better fuel efficiency)
@@liambengif7663 Emirates have gone all-in on B777X having orders for some 170 -9`s & 35 -8`s. While Emirates may be privy to performance & efficiency figures & the GE9X promises much avgeeks won`t know yet just how efficient either the engine is or the aircraft in combination. The aircraft is larger & heavier than it`s nearest competition the A350-1000 & it will most likely be premium heavy too, so I`d suggest in light of that & all the huge delays we reserve judgement on it`s efficiency until it`s EIS. Sir Tim as we know has shunned ordering A350-1000 as he doesn`t like the RR TXWB-97 at least until it`s had it`s durability upgrades & hasn`t ruled-out a future order. I guess he`s keeping is powder dry until he see`s how the B777X actually performs for his airline.
Shame for Lufthansa, but they should not complain. They did order considerable amount from Boeing, naively thinking that those planes could be certified and produced within the timeframe they expected. They should have gone with Airbus, creating local jobs in Germany, paying little more, but getting modern planes, with manageable delay, instead of the "sometime in the future" answer from Boeing, where the "future" is redefined roughly once a year. Good luck waiting Lufthansa, it's on you. You will eventually get some planes - eventually, sometime in the unknown future.
you also talk the way your limited knowledge tells you to. Lufthansa has been a customer of both manufacturers for decades and has done well with them. Neither manufacturer serves the airlines alone and the models of both manufacturers also differ in important factors for the airlines. The current situation is causing problems for both manufacturers. So stop using the argument of safeguarding jobs at Airbus. They are secured for at least 10 years. And Boeing employees in the USA also want to feed their families. This narrow-minded ‘only support the domestic industry’ mentality hurts everyone.
Airbus simply does not offer an Aircraft to replace A380 or 747-400 for flights to congested east coast hubs, only the 777x can. There are no more slots at JFK, EWR etc to simply fly more A350-900. That is why even the A340-600 came back.
If you are in the states Delta has one flight a day between ATL and DTW as a "repositioning" flight. I have a trip coming up and trying to book the itinerary.
Any plans of plane deliveries being as planned after a year plus of shutdown by airline executives shows how over paid they are! When the experienced workers are asked to take early retirement that is huge unrecognized leadership gone! And labor with education is almost impossible to find these days.
Love ❤️ Djs Aviation News he is great 👍 for Aviation ❤️ News .😊😮❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Dj for this !!
All you can do is keep going as best you can. ✈️

Very true
You can bet that they are closely monitoring the seat mile costs right now.

Although a couple of months late at least they got one delivered & another one going through Tolouse factory...unlike the 777x
Well, at least they managed to push forward the introduction of the plane too. That's extremely seldom that something like that happens.
@jantjarks7946 what is extremely rare
Good On Emirates

Oh man, I’ve never flown on an A350, gotta take a trip and see what it’s like

The most comfortable plane I've flown on, and the passenger experience is top. It is much more quiet than the comparable planes I've flown on.
5 month delay better than 5 year delay! 🤔
Boeing responsibility for promising 787 but unable to deliver it on time.
Thanks DJ Av… always a pleasure to listen to and your insights are detailed and practical. 🇬🇧🇺🇸👍
Agree 110% !
Any sign of the a 350 coning to dublin?
Corrine have you Laid thé french eggs?

Nothing new here. Lufthansa needs to work on its appalling service.
