    Junior World Champions were in action at the Budva Sports Centre, including Fabian Pawel Urbanski from Poland, who won by referee’s stoppage in the first round of his men’s 75kg match against Daniel Dukic of Croatia. In the same weight division, another world champion, Armenia’s Albert Harutyunyan, eliminated Adam Taro from Slovakia in the second round by referee’s stoppage.
    Another early finish saw Junior World Champion Snezhana Kuznetsova defeat South African Nokwanda Mbatha in the women’s 52kg tournament, but there was also a defeat for another World gold medallist. Keyan Vagharshak from Armenia was eliminated in the men’s 48kg contest, losing on a tight split decision verdict to Morocco’s Othman Chadghour.
    Defending Youth European champion Bilalhabsi Nazarov won his opening men’s 48kg by unanimous decision against Iasur Taalaibek Uulu of Kyrygzstan. European bronze medallist Atanas Dinkov from Bulgaria was also the winner in a tight split decision ruling in the men’s 54kg tournament.
    The competitions continue on 30 October with Quarterfinal with morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

    The last round of 16 matches took place on Monday at the Budva Sports Centre, Montenegro, as the IBA Men’s and Women’s Youth World Boxing Championships get ready for the quarterfinals stage.
    Mukhammadazizbek Ismoilov from Uzbekistan continues to impress in the men’s 71kg, with the Asian silver medallist forcing a referee’s stoppage in the first round of his bout with Colombia’s Juan Pablo Franco. Another contender for gold will be Kazakhstan’s Oner Seiilkhan, who stopped his match with Muhammad Ali Shahzad from Pakistan in the third round before the final bell.
    Kyla Doyle from Ireland is into the final eight after winning by referee’s stoppage, taking down Ximena Valencia from Mexico in the first round of their women’s 66kg contest. Rayhona Kurbonboeva from Uzbekistan was a unanimous winner in the same weight division over Morocco’s Khadija Bargach.
    Josh Tonga from New Zealand won again in the men’s 80kg division, beating Sandor Varadi from Hungary, while Armenia’s Armen Poghosyan eliminated home favourite Filip Klepo by referee’s stoppage.
    European women’s 57kg champion Panagiota Kouzilou from Greece looked good again, this time beating Medina Abyldaeva from Kyrgyzstan in the third round by referee’s stoppage. While the European gold medallist progressed, the Asian champion would not as Ayazhan Yermek from Kazakhstan lost an incredibly close bout with Diana Alejandra Maestre Marquez from Venezuela.
    European silver medallist Adam Maca from Albania won again by referee’s stoppage in the men’s 60kg division, taking out Salah Eddine Hmamouche from Morocco in the second round, while Asian champion Nodirbek Allaberganov from Uzbekistan won in the second round against Darnell Sinaswee from Trinidad and Tobago. European champion Viktorio Iliev Venelinov from Bulgaria would be eliminated by a split decision against France’s Sandro Spica.
