So happy to find you. I've had deep interest in acupuncture (receiving it) and learning about it, meridians, the elements etc off n on for decades. Just recently been really drawn to soak up, review, watch, read, learn about the meridians, organs, and emotions. This was great and lead me to seeing your yoga/meridian offering! Wow! How cool.
What is accomplished by meditating on the different meridians? I listen to some guided meditations that involve massaging the body from the fingers up the arm to the lung, and from the lung to different fingers. These also involve imagining inhaling and exhaling along these paths. It’s relaxing, but what, if anything else, is it accomplishing? Thank you in advance for your answer.
My understanding is that whenever you get a root canal or tooth extraction, it effects your meridian pathways. If you can elaborate on that, that would be greatly appreciative. As a kid, I destroyed the enamel on my teeth and health of my gums via consuming excessive soda and high sugary laden goods, and by failing to brush and floss. I have all but two teeth that have no fillings.I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled at age 16 and my 3rd upper left side and lower side molars have been pulled. I use neem therapy tooth paste and floss religiously as an adult. Do you suggest I have all of my silver fillings replaced with that of white or would that be pointless? Thank you in advance for your prompt reply!!
Hi there, there are many theories about how the meridians are affected with injuries, scars, tattoos, etc. Some say the meridian simply moves a little to accommodate the change. For example, if you get a piercing along a meridian, most likely the channel shifts just slightly. That being said, with more severe trauma (like major surgeries like you described), the energetic pathway is going to affected just like the physical tissue is affected. But... the meridians can heal too, just like the physical tissues. You may continue to have a weakness in the teeth and mouth due to your history, but if you care for yourself now, you can minimize problems. I can't speak too much to your question about silver fillings vs white. If your silver fillings have mercury, they can cause harm if they are breaking down in your mouth. That said, getting fillings removed may be the time when you have the most exposure to the mercury because they have to shave down the silver to remove it. I recommend discussing your concerns with a holistically minded dentist. I hope that helps!
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the informative video. I have seen a graphic of interactive meridian poses. Are these good to do on a regular basis? What are the benefits? Is there a video of these for me to follow? Many thanks!
@@jenniferraye Thank you so much for replying. I have just signed up for the course of free videos and am looking forward to learning more. Once again thanks you.

The term meridian is used in Chinese Medicine to describe the movement of Qi (energy) through channels in the body. In yoga and Ayurveda we use chakras and nadis to describe a similar idea. The microcosmic orbit is more of a Taoist way of describing the central channels. Hope that helps!
@@psykick.mysteries.7459 well there is a lot to say about that! But basically mana means "mind" in Ayurveda. Qi is more like prana - it's the life force in the body.
Yes, that's right. The energetic meridians are more subtle than the blood vessels or nerves. However, it can be helpful to visualize them as similar to and related to them.

Is meridians have any relation to chakras and microcosmic orbit.

So the meridians are not the blood vessels, or the nerves system? It is other channels different from those 2.
