A beautiful study. It made me aware of one of my major problems as a player: a lack of courage. I refused to push the pawn immediately because I didn't want to lose the chance to promote. That fear kept me from considering the potential of such a move. Then, I never saw the coup de gras of the queen check on b5 out of my fear of losing the queen. Although it's obvious that a queen sacrifice is not only wise, but necessary, when it leads to a direct checkmate, psychological barriers kept me from entertaining the move. I'm learning that one's personality is a key factor in how one approaches the game.
Ah, Troitski is my favourite composer. I think it was because of him I prefer puzzles to playing. The ideas are so exquisite and deep, a real pleasure diving into it! Thanks a lot!😊
Very beautiful. I like it because there are no difficult analytical sidelines. The ideas of course with block and check on h5 is often use in his time. For example there exist a famous study by Kubbel.
Have to give myself a half point. Two weeks ago I would never have seen the initial pawn sacrifice. This time did not see the black knight move and the subsequent queen sacrifice. Thanks for continually expanding my mind.

Yay, I finally got one?, only by following the logic of the other puzzles that you have previously uploaded.
Excellent puzzle, you bring out the best puzzles. Thank you very much.

I only can say, Troitsky was a genius.
I saw the final beautiful move only one move ahead, but not from the beginning position.
That knight checkmate was _NASTY!_
Yes! 😊
Wow, what a mate!
Actually figured out that checkmate :) But I was certain there would be some shenanigans if the king bravely ran away...

Found the first three moves easily, less than half a minute or so. But not the very beautiful ending!
Me too. I didn't see the knight interposition and thought the fork with the Black king on h7 was forced.

I was sure you need to do anything except promoting! Great puzzle!
