you definitely can but when their this easy to get hold of you could just do this twice to probably have enough...definitely worth doing with annoying ones though👍
as far as i'm aware it seems to spawn constant i was past the feast of deception at the point of farming it though so not sure if that's a prerequisite of if it's their from start of the game👍...also i think they keep changing things through updates as some drakes and that golem were much more reliable when I made videos on them and seem to be hit and miss now👍
Before the coronation this spawn is a regular Chimera. After the coronation it is a gorechimera. I'm pretty sure it is the only one that spawns pre endgame. I would just get 1 and forge it, if you're passing days anyway to force the respawn, might as well just get 1 every day from forging.
You can do forgery’s of most exotic materials at the rest town outpost, so you only need the 1

More than 7 days for respawn... It's like 10 or 12... And you have to rest at a bench, camps don't work. At least in my case.

that is from the standard chimera you may be earlier in the playthrough
You need to have progressed past the coronation quest, else it will be a normal Chimera.
