Knowing the deck and building a functional counterstrategy are two separate skillsets. Tripple boombat or an earth package to add equalinx/eq seems like a good idea into arcalith, but 5 lunar and 11 water were necessary and 4 thunder is hard-pressed to support boombat, rabbit, and misenchanting, not even counting those earth cards. Maybe you remove the drakkid/drakking package and 3 lunar for kurabyss, boombat, and 3 thunder? Not that I blame MBT for not devoting his life to the elestriad or think I could do better, but it does feel like more could have been done if more man hours were devoted to it.
so a quick clarification on that last play in game 2: - Altar's Nexus is not optional. Once its in play, the nexus needs to be done to the best of the player's ability. - Because Gorgon's was used on Toxion, Toxion cannot be involved in a Nexus for the remainder of the turn. Because of that, there were no legal targets left for Altar to nexus the spirit from Mt. Olympus to, meaning the card effectively fizzles unable to resolve. Because of that too, Toxion was under enchanted at the end of the resolutions, so it went to Underworld too.
Its a play that doesn't come up often, but it does come up. You can siphon off spirits from other enchanted cards on the board to play Invokes and Counters, and you can overwrite an active rune to use its spirits for the cast, which is what I did in the case of Zeus there.
@TheLawYGO I know you can siphon I'm just confused about the fact that your backrow was ALSO full 4/4, I know you can sack cards to play invokes, but the spirits stay through sacking them?
@@shiznaztmwhen you sack off an active rune (divine or artifact) you can syphon their spirits for the rune you’re casting. It’s a super niche interaction (it came up once in testing and the head judge confirmed it was something I could do then, only reason I knew it) so I don’t blame you for not knowing it.
@Thaneriffic of course, that's what happened. What I'm saying is, I never saw a Bo3 going to game 3 in this game. Is it just a coincidence? Is the game that much match-up based? Or something else I'm not getting?
The full Torchin setup is sending me, y'all are awesome!
❤❤❤ THANK YOU, lol we really put are all into this one 🥰
MBT hard predicting pretty much the exact list Law was playing and still losing is absolutely terrifying.
Thunder is 90% of all design mistakes in this game in 1 spirit type

Casters Corner Cross-Fire cannot be avoided

MBT fought The Law and the Law won, he needed money, because he dont have none?
Ironic that this song was by The Clash too.
that 2nd round was very close
If that Gorgon's had locked the game in via deckout that would have been incredible.
Hazy and sir are the most entertaining casters, make them cast more!
actual tears coming down right now, thank you 😢❤🫶
Thank you 🤩 so kind (-:
You listed 3 quackles in TheLaws profile but he only had 2
Law bought the thunder
Wait at 26:15 is that a legal thing you can do? He discarded Zeus to play the Race using the spirit on the Zeus? I'm just a little confused.
Invoke and Counter runes can "Siphon" Spirits from the field to pay their casting cost.

Thunder is so bananas strong
Why the Bo3s end always at game 2. That's the only thing I'm not understanding about this game, as a spectator
TheLawYGO won both games. Bo3 ends when one player wins twice.

Bro stop putting the losers on the thumbnail its getting predictable
