    • @cet3dprojects
      @cet3dprojects  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yuanzhang7392 Hi, at the moment it is complicated, the track where the gear bearings run is designed so that it stays in gear, that piece would have to be redesigned. To be able to press the switch it is necessary to carry out the complete travel of the lever. I currently do not design this part for sequential because it is difficult to be changing it regularly and I designed the mechanism thinking about H, but it would not be a bad modification for the future. Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing this project! I teach electricity at a technical college and we (my class) designed and built a 3DOF simulator. We also built your shifter and it works great with the sim! I was wondering what program you used to create this? Also, would you be willing to share the original file for the H-pattern gates piece (13_OSSH_CET3D_v02)? We wanted to edit it and make some different patterns like a 4 or 6 speed with reverse. We would only need the one file as they can be inserted in the top of what we have now. We mainly use SolidWorks, but have access to several other programs. Thanks again for making this awesome shifter available!

    Hi! I am truly amazed at your work. I don't own a 3D printer. Is it possible to download the files to send to a 3D printer service and have them make& ship the printed parts to myself so I can build this beautiful thing?? I cannot afford a 3d printer (unable to work because of serious health issues) but I would definitely try saving up to purchase everything to build this. I love learning and trying to build things.
    Would having a print service print the parts break the open license agreement as I would have to pay them?

      Thank you very much Lazerath. In my country, a printing service for these pieces can cost like an inexpensive printer, I recommend you buy one when possible, but you will have to value it according to the prices of your place of residence. You will not have problems with the license, if you choose the printing service they can do it. Regards!

    This looks great. :) I think if I were to change anything it would be to make it Aluminum profile friendly (like the Simlab P1-X). I'm not sure how reliable the switches would be over time, and I would consider Hall effect sensors instead. That adds cost and complexity, and might not be worth it.

      Hello dockettome, thank you very much for your contribution. If I had had a cockpit to test, I would have designed its own support, but my cockpit is handmade and I was only able to test it with it. Regarding the switches, over time they don't seem to have any apparent problem, even so the user "fthsimracing" on Thingiverse has created a support to do it with potentiometers.

      The mechanical lifespan will depend on switches you get. The cheap generic stuff like KW10-Z1P has a 10K electrical and 100k mechanical rating so you'd expect around 50K presses before failure, a lot but not the greatest.
      Now Compare that to Omron's SS-01GL (1A rated thus smaller) which has electrical life of 200k and mechanical of 30Million presses. So it'll likely never fail

      Hi HALUK, sorry for the delay, I was offline. I did not understand very well, do you want to make those printed tubes? It could be made but you would not know its durability. In that case I recommend the bearing mod and use screws with threads of that size instead of the tubes.
      On the web you also have links to buy the tubes on aliexpress, I hope I have helped you, thank you very much.

    Did anyone have problems with the M8 threaded rod not remaining screwed into the plastic? The spring pressure holding the ball bearings just pushes the threaded rod up an out

    • @cet3dprojects
      @cet3dprojects  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Joel, the printer may be making the holes a bit larger, you can try making that part with some positive horizontal expansion, or just gluing the rod or adding teflon tape to make the rod thread on tighter. If you stick it you can continue disassembling the rest of the pieces, there is no problem with that.
      Thanks for commenting and I hope you can fix it quickly.
      All the best!

      Hi Mark Zijlstra, I don't know what can happen, I haven't found that problem yet. You can check if the support of the switches is robust and fix the switches with a 2mm screw in their holes, I did it with a piece of filament with the tips crushed with heat so that it does not come off. I hope you can solve it, you can comment here if you got it, thank you very much!

      @cet3dprojects  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Andrey, the tube does fit, in the video you can see how you have to hit the tube a little to insert it. If you want to insert it more easily you should simply make the tube thinner with sandpaper, but it is not necessary, I prefer to avoid gaps. It may also happen that you have deformed the cut part and you must adjust the tube previously and check it with the vernier caliper so that it does not have more than 6mm. All the best!
