If you want to see some awesome parking lot activities, look up videos of Jimmy Buffett concerts!!! Sadly, we just lost Jimmy on September 1, 2024, but his videos are all over youtube and elsewhere. His concert activities always began about three hours prior to the shows, and they have become iconic. When you wander around among the cars you can see people dressed as “ParrotHeads” with Hawaiian shirts, making Margaritas in a blender powered by a small generator, play some put put golf, sit in a beach chair while wiggling your toes in the sand (they bring their own patch of sand and clean it up before the concert begins), chat with everyone, sing along with their Buffett music, folks will share their drinks with others passing by, smell folks grilling their ‘Cheeseburger in Paradise’, and so much more!!! You will love the music and the vibe!!! Rest in peace, Jimmy! You live forever in our hearts!!! 💚💚💚

ever since the coof, everything can be contactless - drive thru banks, fast food, pharmacy, and now a lot of the grocery stores and ones like walmart and target have services where you order ahead of time, then just pull into a parking space and they will bring your purchases out to your car and put them in your trunk! and then there's the option to just have everything delivered to your home so that you don't even have to leave!

If you ever make it to East Tennessee, I’ll tell you the best places to go in the mountains, the touristy spots, and most importantly, the back roads to get around Sevier county so you can see the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and AVOID the traffic lol! You can catch a University of Tennessee (UT) football game in Knoxville at Neyland Stadium, which is the record holder for loudest ( the record was 125.4 db, but we broke our own record and hit a crazy 137 db ) and is the 6th largest holding 101,915 fans. That’s if you come in football season ( September through November ).
Then, the fun stuff! I’ll bring the guns and ammunition and we’ll go hit a range! You can shoot till you get tired of doing it, ammunition is on me!

Its so interesting that most of these things have such extreme pros and cons here in the US. Sports are such a huge part of our culture literally from birth in some cases (due to the family aspect), but there are a lot of potential dangers and problems such as young kids being exposed to injuries before their growth plates are fully developed, mistreatment of athletes, etc. Though it is fundamentally a recreational or "fun" activity, anything that gets turned into an "industry" (even music and other arts) can end up having a darker side. Another example, while holidays are generally heartwarming and bonding experiences, more recently some are being acknowledged as presenting a skewed view of history or even being damaging to certain minorities and cultures. In general, the feeling of them is definitey genuine without any ill intent, but sometimes the emphasis placed on the origination of a holiday can have a sort of propoganda spin to it. Obviously, the average American celebrates with sincerity and usually gratitude, but in more recent decades theres been some discussion about how these things affect all citizens, not just the decendants of those who originated the holiday. The positive side of this is that some new holidays have been established nationally that werent before, like Juneteenth to celebrate the last of the slaves to be freed after the Civil War, which happened shockingly later than many Americans were aware of before the holiday was nationwide. Obviously, like the man stated (Sean i think you siad? Shawn?), the cannabis topic is still widely argued and is yet to be settled on a national scale. Also, side note, i dont know if Sean was referring to the US specifically when he talked about alcohol, but particularly due to the way it is restricted and marketed, ive heard it has a different effect, especially on young peiple, here in the US than in Europe. Thats another ongoing debate, but i can tell you that I personally know far more people who have been injured or died due to alcohol than cannabis. Again, this comes down to education and responsible consumption, which are their own issues in the US. It is really cool to hear the perspective of a non-American about these things, especially since its honestly more positive than i would have expected lol. Finally, i was surprised that we're known for having dangerous animals. I just figured it was normal that when you travel to a different region of the country, one of the first things you research is what kind of wildlife can kill you lol ("moose" rhymes with "goose" btw, but the plural is still just moose, not meese--you're welcome from the English language 😂)

All those deadly animals are not found in the same place though, so wherever you are, you probably only have to worry about one or three, not all at once. And wolves, bears, cougars (the bigger animals) don't really come where people have settled, they stay in the forest usually. Sometimes there are exceptions but not in most areas.

The US is getting a lot better in soccer. Our problem for a long time was that we did not have the soccer academy system that you have in Europe so we didn't have the ability to discover and provide top training to the best young players and then develop their talent as they got older. Christian Pulisic was in one of the first academy programs and now we have way more players playing in Europe - many of them at top clubs, too - than we have ever had. We're getting there slowly but surely.

ER, We enjoy watching your reactions to America. As born Americans with British parents & grandparents living in America. 1st America is diverse & multicultural with many different ethnicity. 1st their are different jobs outside of restaurants, grocery stores or private companies where individuals take 30 days, 40 days or 2 months vacation or whatever amount you want & earn. That company is federal government jobs. So, it's NOT true that we in America (majority) don't have that amount of time of in ALL jobs in America. (2) Most Americans look & enjoy a variety of all shows in & out of America. Yes, we love OUTLANDER & you should watch it. Yes, we agree with 100% regarding TV. Like food there a so many options & choices. (3) America Holidays - we have 11 major Holidays. We agree 100%, of all holidays each CITIZENS know what the meaning & what they stand for. This was taught in school from kindergarten to high school. (4) Yes, we have many, many diverse animals & nature. (5) Homes - NOT all homes ìn 50 states & 14 Territories homes are EXPENSIVE. (6) America DOES NOT purchase ships from CHINA. That's a fact. (7) America SPORTS is a family & friends affair. Whether they go to the stadium or watch it at home with family & friends invite over. (8) Yes, barbecue is great anywhere from North, South, East or West in America. Spices & seasoning might be different. (9) America is NOT all crazy about politics. Don't believe or think that's the case because you see on American TV. (10) Not ALL American eat junk food. We love cooking home made food at home. (11) No, CANNABIS is not LEGAL in every State & Territories. Yes, it works for conditions. Legislation comes or came about because of American Citizens. (12) 1000% - Americans are very OPTIMISTIC. We encourage others especially when they are down or depressed. We feel there is always "LIGHT AT THE END/BOTTOM OF THE TUNNEL". The MAJORITY of Americans are friendly. When people that visit say that friendliness is FAKE or PRETEND. That's NOT true. Americans are genius friendly, down to earth & genuine. Most tell you how they feel. Yes, every personality is different like any other country. We have a small percentage of people that are NOT friendly, loud & mean. We wish some foreigners or visitors would STOP putting ALL Americans in the same box. That disrespectful & stupid to do or think. All Americans don't walk around with guns in every STATE. Until those TH-camRS have met, spoken & visited the 50 STATES & 14 TERRITORIES citizens ONLY then can they talk & say on their YT Channel: (13) ALL Americans are FAT - which is a LIE. (14) ALL Americans eat junk food - another LIE. (15) ALL Americans drink sodas - another LIE. (16) ALL Americans homes are built differently (ex; bricks; wood; vinyl siding; carpet or wood etc). Some Americans don't walk into their homes with their shoes on. They also asked the home owner if they want them to them to take off their shoes or not. Most home owner offer footsie socks to put on after taking your shoes off. Some homes have heated floors (mostly in the bathroom or kitchen; depending on if or where you want it). Some homes have basement or not. Some homes are built 2, 3, 4 or 5 levels. In closing be wise, smart & opening in realizing every place, home, family, friends, citizens, culture can be different, unique & special throughout the 50 states & 14 Territories. We enjoy your Channel. Keep the contents coming.

There aren't actually many UK shows that Americans watch other than Peaky Blinders which absolutely blew up over here when it came to Netflix. Doctor Who has a pretty big following, but that's just compared to other UK shows. Other than those 2, we do have some straight up weirdos who seem to think watching Downton Abbey or other such shows makes them cultured or some nonsense lol.

@anonygent Yes, plus more. New Mexico is actually extremely mountainous, despite popular belief that its all desert. It's the southern most tip of the rockies.
Yes, we have "Mexicans". Alot of New Mexican ancestors were in the area far before the country of Mexico or USA existed as we know them. We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us.
We have ancient civilizations, in fact some of the oldest evidence of ancient humans in North America has been discovered in new mexico.

Outlander is 50/50 for me. I enjoyed the historical/cultural aspect of it, but there are a lot of sex and rape scenes - so much I felt like I was getting second-hand trauma from it, so I stopped. Honestly, it felt like in almost every season someone was raped or threatened with rape.

I disagree about gila monsters being so deadly. There has been only one death attributed to a gila monster bite since 1930. In that instance, a pet gila monster bit his owner. Gila monsters are not plentiful in nature, and they spend most of their time in their burrows. They don't want to meet you or attack you, and they move so slowly that you would never have a problem getting away from a gila monster if you encounter one.

I would have to disagree with that. Some might but they are also disagreeable creatures who will chase you down and trample you. I watched a video of a man who was out with his sled dogs training and came up on a moose. He was experienced but was really afraid when the moose left what it was doing and began following him. Fortunately it got bored and veered off. Frankly, I would rather meet a bear in our neck of the woods than a moose.

Holidays. No, Memorial Day and Veterans Day are not the same day.
Memorial Day is the last Monday of May. It is to honor all those who gave their lives in military service; those who went to war and didn't come home. Memorial Day -- to remember our military dead.
Veterans Day is November 11, and is to honor those who served in the military and came back home after military service.
Armed Forces Day is the third Saturday of May, to honor all those currently in the military, either in the reserves are on active duty.

I do have to say, as a former heavy user of alcohol and my experience with cannabis, cannabis has far less intoxicating effects than alcohol. Being completely wasted on alcohol makes the simplest tasks damn near impossible to do. Being as high as you can possibly get on cannabis will more than likely make you sleepy, giggly, hungry, ive seen it make some people very chatty and social as well. But not once have i seen someone black out to the point you cant rouse them, ive seen that with alcohol though. I say people need to stop listening to these laws/lies of a bygone generation and realize cannabis has a bad rap sheet mainly because it was Outlawed and then the ensuing black market and criminal activity that law generated created deadly situations which people then use to justify having it outlawed. But what do i know right? Anyway, love the content my friend.
