Loved seeing the Trilliums. For viewers outside of Ontario, they are the official flower of Ontario. Back in the 60s we were taught in school that it was illegal to pick them because they only bloom every 7 years. I'm glad you are recovering well and got good news.😁🇨🇦

They're beautiful. They are like ladyslippers in New England as far as being protected native flowers.

RE: Trilliums. It takes 7 yrs from seed to 1st bloom. After that, they bloom annually; only 1 flower per year.

♥️♥️I have surgery on Wednesday the 17th of May for a new feeding tube in my remnants of my stomach, which I had 85% removed back on October 22 2014. I've haved a feeding tube since January 14th 2014 but 10 months later I needed my stomach removed and during surgery the surgeon's were surprised that I had cancer in my stomach and intestines called Gastrointestinal stromal tumor which was malignant it's a rare form of cancer for women because it's mainly found in white men in their 50's and 60's. I was 43 when they found it. And because they found it so early I didn't need chemotherapy or radiation, just surgery and pet scans for 5 years after the cancer was removed. For the last year I had my belly healing from a bad infection where I had my tube in my stoma( the hole the tube is in from my intestines to outside my abdomen and outside my body. So I had it removed and had a ng tube in my nose for a year. Having a tube in my nose caused ulcers in both my nostrils and it's very painful and throat started having problems too like not being able to swallow like my muscles weren't working. I have to really thinking about those muscles to get them to work. So definitely need the surgery. I went to have surgery on April 6th but after getting the IV and about to get ready to go to operating room I was swabbed for COVID and it came back positive. I had no symptoms so I was A symptomatic meaning I had no idea I even had COVID 19. So they cancelled my surgery and said in a few weeks I'd be okay to have surgery. So may 17th sego for surgery. So I understand the feelings you have before surgery and the pain afterwards. I have surgery every 3 months to replace the feeding tube for the last years. Being put under and leaving the hospital with belly pain. Anyways you are going to heal quickly just take it easy for the next couple of weeks maybe like a month or so no lifting heavy items. And stay hydrated and take your pain relief meds too. We care about you sweetie. Your in our prayers ♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻♥️ God bless you ♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻 I

Chemo effects everyone a little differently. With us, she said in the beginning everything tasted metallic after the first two treatments and she could still work the next day. As time passed, things tasted like cardboard and she had no appetite. Also it took longer after each treatment to rebound. Try small amounts of various liquids, changing what you have each time . This will help from becoming dehydrated even though you might find it hard to drink. Small meals with lots of protein was also helpful. She is now in her 7th year cancer free from stage 3 cancer. I hope this will come in handy for you

Jess.. you are such a brave young lady. In 2012 I was told I had cancer. I tried really hard to be strong because I didnt want my son to be scared or upset. I had a biopsy and was told on June 25th it was cancer then surgery on July 10th. The first of August I started chemo, had a port put in prior to starting. I am so glad I did because I saw so many people who didnt and the nurses struggled to find a vein but they had been going for some time so understandable. I wish I could remember the name of the meds my oncologist gave me. Each time I went I had to have blood test first to make sure my levels were ok to get the chemo, then I took a pill. All I can remember was the name started with an E, lots of help right. I also had meds to take at home if I started to feel ill. What a blessing the two were, I never once got sick. I am praying your chemo goes as smoothly as chemo can go but I have no doubt you will nail this!

So happy you are doing good and were able to hang out with Heidi and do some retail therapy. Piper is adorable rolling in the grass and flowers. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
