Goodbye 2024. I have the Eraser on CD, but I should really get a vinyl copy, just to duplicate more of my collection 🙂 I will check out the Prefab Sprout releases. I only have the first three LPs. What a deal on Seven Psalms! I got the Eletrafixion. Really great packaging on the last album! I really like that record. All the best for 2025, David!
Thanks for the videos through the year David. The echo and the bunnymen offshoot came out this year. I picked it up in Spillers’s here in Cardiff and think it is great. Happy New Year. Iarla
thank you david for the enormous introduction of records in 2024. i wish you and your loved ones a positive year in terms of health and of course music. kind regards from germany, holger. 🎸
“I’ve got an eye for a bargain. It’s my procurement background”…I can relate to that. I really enjoy the post CSNY Crosby/Nash records, On his own, I just can’t dig into him unfortunately. I get a bit bored. Lovely Prefab Sprout! George Benson has a lot of good stuff, on the cheap too. Very cool Seeds! Belle & Sebastian. Fun band, though I don’t have any in my collection. I know I’ll be changing that soon. Caroline likes them too, as I’ve had them streaming in the car over the years. “Feel free to leave the video”…I worked with a packaging engineer for years who would’ve used the word “robust” to describe those shipment materials. Love Selling England By The Pound. Enjoy it David and happy new year!
Mike, you're a fine specimen. Have a great New Year with your home's superior humans! Speak soon. I'm with you on Nash. I get it. I give him some slack because he's still out there doing it.
Long time listener,first-time caller here from Newcastle. I totally agree with your comments on james dewer The early trower albums with dewer singing are tremendous. He had a stroke and ended his time in a hospice. Trower booted him out and done the B.L.T album with jack bruce before doing one more album with dewer. There's a solo album on TH-cam from dewer. Check out his previous band if you haven't all ready. 'Stone the crows. He plays bass and does backupp vocals. I'm tempted by the Atlantic 75 series, there are few albums I'd like to pick up,I enjoy the originals and like to hear the remasters, genesis, C.S.N and STP. I really enjoy your channel. All the best for 2025 bud.
Oh man, that's a sad story about Dewar. I have that BLT album, and don't think much of it. I once made a video (it's on the channel) about my fave male singers. Dewar didn't make the cut, but I've always thought him similar to the wonderful Paul Rodgers. Best wishes for 2025 to you too. Let's hope it's better than 2024.
Great selections, David. Bridge of Sighs is a favorite and a truly fantastic under appreciated album. Would love to see you on Rachel’s panel one of these days. 😉
Thanks a lot Marty. Although I've got Robin Trower's 70s albums on vinyl, to me 'Bridge of Sighs' has always been so far ahead of the others. Great stuff. As for Rachel's, it would be fun to join in maybe, but everyone seems to know each other, and they're always talking about people I don't know. I'd probably feel like an outsider!
Some good records David I’ve never bothered with 45 rpm albums I’m too lazy to get up to change sides multiple times and I’m too tight for audiophile records have a good new year
I normally feel the same way Mark about 45 rpms, and if I'd had an up to date TOTT, I'd have probably passed on this one. Because I'm tight too! All the best for 2025
Hiya David. Godt Nytt År 🎆🎇🎆 Right off the bat, so cool you got that Thom Yorke album. I "only" have it on CD. Held it for very very little in my hands, but never pulled the trigger on it. Oooh, you got I Trawl the Megahertz. Such a beautiful album. My regret of 2024 getting Jordan the Comback used on vinyl and then finding out about the re-issue like weeks later 😢 I feel like I've let people down for not owning more Nick Cave. My first (of 3?) CD's I got because of Kylie Minogue ❤ Lots of very interesting records there by bands I don't know. I own no and have hear next to no Peter Gabriel Genesis. Bad me eh? Not looking forward to 2025 even though I'm glad to see the back of 2024. Take care David.
Happy New Year to you Morten. Hope it works out well for you. That 'Murder ballads' album was how I reconnected with Nick Cave, and since then there have been so many great albums. 'Push the Sky Away' is my personal favourite. I'd grab that 'Jordan' 2LP if I was you - I'm not sure how long it will be in print.
Hey David. Nice end of year haul! I have that Thom Yorke album on CD. Love that Donna Summer album. Great snag on the Nick Cave! The Seeds is a must! That Trower album is KILLER! I have most of his catalogue. James Dewar sang and played bass on 9 or 10 Trower albums I believe. He made one solo record in the 70's after that, but for some reason it wasn't released until the mid to late 90's. It's just an okay album. Genesis! Nice one! Happy New Year! Cheers
Happy New Year to you and your family, David. I enjoy your videos even though my tastes are more pop, dance and indie. Enjoy your records! By the way, what is that magnificent looking turntable in the back of your videos?
Cool set of records. A few there to get you off your bum and shake it (Donna Summer). I have heard great things about most AP 45 RPM reissues but have stayed away from them because of the speed and split-up of the music flow. Have a fabulous new year, David..Cheers!!!
Another great vid, cheers. I paid $125 on a MOFI Court and Spark by Joni Mitchell, one of my favourite artists. If you’d told me a couple of years ago I’d spend that on a single album I’d have laughed but it’s a fabulous pressing.
Sir David. Nice hall! Xmas presents to yourself. The Donna Summer LP is a classic. Donna Summer won 5 grammies (in 3 decades) and was nominated for 13 more!! Do yourself a favour - watch on TH-cam her 1999 VH1 performance. A classic and demonstrates just what a huge talent she was. On the packaging. Trick of the Tale (best Genisis recording by my ratings) That is Acoustic Sounds / Quality Record Pressings. Atlantic 75 Series. Their packaging is the Gold standard. Their pressings are equally to a very high standard. I too have paid that high $$ for their pressings/ LP releases in the past. Maybe I had a couple bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale a.k.a. 'Journey into Space' and ordered from Acoustic Sounds (big exchange rate CDN $ to US$ - plus shipping!!) I have an appointment now scheduled in the new year with a vinyl record purchasing exorcist!! David - Happy New Year and Health and Happiness to you and your extended family for 2025 (and well beyond)
All the best to you Pat. We get this old and 'health' starts to dominate our Christmas and New year greetings. Ouch! As for the Atlantic 75, it is definitely a Christmas present to myself. My other half would refuse to buy any record for me!

So, a 2024 RSD release? Cheers. I remember the single releases, and am looking forward to giving this album version a spin.
Very interesting albums. Enjoyed the video.

Thanks Holger. Same to you!
Thank You, David - always enjoy your videos! Happy New Year to you and yours from Central California.
Cheers Brian. Have a great New year!
Brilliant to see some love for I trawl the megahertz- and I couldn’t agree more about Jordan: The Comeback. Great stuff.
Cheers. Paddy MacAloon was a bloody pop genius. Maybe he still is, if he's going to release more music.
Thanks, David for all your great videos in 2024. As far as we can take anything for granted, there will be some great music in 2025.
Thanks Nick. Have a great new year.

Great score.
Happy New Year to you and your family, David. I enjoy your videos even though my tastes are more pop, dance and indie. Enjoy your records! By the way, what is that magnificent looking turntable in the back of your videos?
Cheers. It's a Clearaudio Champion 2. I did a video a little while ago on my listening room 'tour'. More details there.
Nice finds again Dave - Harrow down Hill on The Eraser is a great track - have done your redux video drops laters 👋
I'll be viewing that video before I go out tonight! Happy New year Gav. All the best mate.
@ and to you Dave - shall sort a meet up in the new year - got some Xmas money to spend ! Have a good evening!

I'm with you on the 45 rpm business, but 'Trick' it's the only one I was ever interested in.
Another great vid, cheers. I paid $125 on a MOFI Court and Spark by Joni Mitchell, one of my favourite artists. If you’d told me a couple of years ago I’d spend that on a single album I’d have laughed but it’s a fabulous pressing.

Best thing I've heard all year......😆😶😎....Laibach/Peel Sessions
You just open the inside flap either side on AP boxes, and the vinyl slides out lol, then great to reuse
i also came across a OG of that genesis , a trick of the tail album.,
i have that donna summer - once upon a time album, david,it's a good disco album!
It's lovely, isn't it? I'm so pleased to have picked it up. Only a fiver too!
@@davidatkinson-Music-and-More i especially like the Now I Need You-Working The Midnight Shift songs!!
