    Thx for the video.
    I have both RK3HD in orange and JETFIN in white-camo, they are both great!
    My boots are 27, that means I have to choose XL for jetfin but L for RK3HD.
    That's why Jetfin is way heavier.
    Sometime when I need to wear extra wetsuit jacket, I will prefer the weight of Jetfin.
    But Rk3HD is the better allrounder.
    The jetfin is a classic, I've been using it since I was in the Navy Underwater unit, 12years ago.
    always black and so heavy, never break.

      I agree with every word you just said. Both a great fin. But the RK3 HD is the better of the 2

    Hands down the Jetfin is a superior fin for tec diving. I also own the RK3s and the OMS slip streams. The RK3 I keep for my students. I dont like them one bit, prefer the OMS Jetstreams over the RK3s. I use the Jetstreams for travel and my jetfins are always my go to fin locally.

    Jet fins for the win! You forgot to give them extra points for their two camo color ways too! Great video.

      Yes the camo colors are pretty cool!

      Jet fins are great and I would love a set of the camo colorways, but for an extra ~$70 I just can’t justify it.

    I use RK3's regular, and here is what I found. In fresh water, they are slightly buoyant, barely buoyant, but they rise very slowly. In salt water -the RK3's seem quite buoyant. At first, I thought I was going to face plant on the ocean floor, until I redistributed my weights. It took about 6 dives to get my weight distribution right, then I loved them. My safety stop has to be horizontal, if I safety stop vertical, my buoyant feet seem to want to go in some random direction, knocking me off center. Also, waiting on the surface for the boat, being vertical in the water is tough and those buoyant fins want to surface. Again - this is in salt water. I do love my RK3's but there is a learning curve if you are use to negative buoyant fins.

      The RK3 regular is flexible and actually only usable with a shorty in warm water or in the pool. The RK3 HD are great with a 5 or 7mm wetsuit. For dry suits, there is only one good option, and that is a jetfin

    thanks for this review. Are RK3 HD good for warm water recreational diving ? thanks

      You are welcome. For warm water recreational diving. I would recommend the RK3 not the HD. Tad bit lighter and not quite as stiff. Great rec fin.

      @@cyborgpirate5882 I use the RK3 HD for backmount twins in drysuit, just because that extra pound gets my trim just so. For everything else I use the neutral RK3; drysuit steel sidemount to shortie and Al63 (eg th-cam.com/users/shortsWBzRxH3f8bM) they are perfect!

    Would your mind discussing who has sizes for 13 EE shoe size or larger aizea

    • @cyborgpirate5882
      @cyborgpirate5882  ปีที่แล้ว

      The scuba jet fin pocket is wide. In fact in its review video I discussed it and the sloppy feeling it gave me in the water until I got used to it.
      As for making an EE SIZE or wider pocket for each size. I have not seen any manufacturers make them. Rule of thumb has been go up to the next size fin.

    Also did I miss Fourth Element Tech Fins

      @cyborgpirate5882  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not yet picked up the fourth element fins. They are not in this series of competitions. Maybe in another series. Have the winner from this group of fins in that series too.

    • @OnepieceDivers
      @OnepieceDivers ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the fourth element tech fins, Oms slipstream, Apeks rk3 (standard) overall I would say each have their own needs. Foot pocket’s fourth element tech fins is more comfortable out of the three, for weight it’s similar to the oms slipstream, wing blade it’s the same width with the oms. everything is perfect would be more suitable for dry suits diving, back kicking less efficient than the others and it’s negatively buoyant.
