Just bought a set of power aero xtc after returning the XTB as I found it had to much rotor wobble and the handle wobbled really bad were it joins the body/gears . Thought it was just a bad set but the replacements were exactly the same so opted to pay the extra for the xtc and it’s absolutely rock solid all round and silent.
Cheers John. The way I view it is Power Aeros are a slight upgrade on the Ultregras. More rigid frame, better drag, louder clicker. Slightly better linelay. But I am a massive fan of the Ultregras. There isn't much in it.
@@vdrtgplx584_ I’d say that unless you’re using ultra low diameter lines, the Power Aero would be the better reel in general. The oscillation on the Technium is so slow that thicker lines can lay on top of each other causing issues when casting.
Thanks for answering. I ordered two this week. They are beautiful but look a bit slimmer and less robust than my old XSA model from 2009. They do seem a bit lighter. I like to fish heavy current with 7oz sinkers. Do you think this reel can handle this well or is less recommended to extend its lifespan.
Best reel ever even better then the bullseye ultra smooth even when lifting cod upto 7 pound

I own 3 shimano power aero xsb. Great reel
Hi Liam, how do you think it would fair chucking 8 oz weights and whole joeys for Tope/Skate/Big Eels?
Good session testing the new gear. Just wondering about your loop to loop braid connection what knot do you use?
Nice vid Liam and good to see you doing the vid for veals.
I own the ultegra 14000 ci4xsc, in people's opinion are these a more superior reel? Cheers

@@thenorseangler thanks buddy, been considering these reels for a while, think this is just what I needed to sway me 👌
Hello is this reel better than the "aero technium mgs 14.000 xsd" ? Ive had the PA xsa for over 15 years and it was an amazing reel.

Would these be good for skate and rough ground fishing or would a saragossa be better for that kind of fishing??
The Power Aero would be perfect for skate and rough ground fishing
@VealsMailOrder2898 does it also have an ipx rating?? I'm also thinking of the twin power 14000PG
Shimano rullls
The best quality strong drag with light weight
There are pricey but lasting werry long time
