A discussion between Mark Levengood, Andrea Reuter, Alma Pöysti and Catharina Nyqvist-Ernrooth at the world’s first Tove Jansson festival, held in Stockholm, Sweden on the 7th of March 2020.
The Finnish production company Helsinki-filmi’s drama film ‘’Tove’’ premieres in the fall of 2020. What is it like to make a movie about someone like Tove Jansson, an icon in Finland and Sweden? How do you choose which parts of her eventful life are portrayed, and whose interpretation you should trust when everybody has their own idea of the great idol? We meet the producer, director and scenographer who all open up about the process. We find out what the filmmakers were thinking about the casting, what they have done to give justice to Tove’s versatile production and what it will all look like.
I don’t know how long it will take me to see this film since I live in the US, but I am still super hyped!

All Swedish, but one of them has less of a finnish accent!

Moomins were a big part of my childhood experience, I loved them dearly and still do. Cheers for this film being made!! I can't wait!!!

@@gabrielhanzek4582 I am so mad at coppa. Moomins are for everyone, not just kids. And how is commenting on videos going to stop pedophiles? People who watch Moomin are mostly good people anyway. There's NOTHING perverted about Moomin. You're more likely to find pedophiles on cartoons like Totally spies or Fairly odd parents (don't look those up). The kind of people watching Moomins are usually family people
