I am in awe. I love every single piece of the Japanese culture I know of, but this is even more impressing. It is as beautiful and thrilling, pushing my blood pressure just by observing this, as it is deadly and attractive. I literally love this art.
Sorry for english, but this is an awesome video, I appreciate very much the techniques and clean cut you guys made in this video. And seem this after the "fail compilation" one was mesmerizing, it's amazing to see how devote you guys are, and yet, have so much fun; it's unlike other people we see, just quivering for perfectness but forgeting about the fun that making perfection is all about. Thanks for posting :)
Watching this directly after watching the fail compilation gives a VERY good feeling. "This is what is possible with practice." It's actually inspiring.
Niiiiiiiiiiice! That woman has one of the most beautiful cuts I've ever seen, the speed of everyone is phenomenal and I think i want to buy a bigger screen just to watch this!
That was a fun compilation of great cuts! It must be quite nice having an endless supply of mats to cut! I guess I could say the same about bottles though ^,^
I wish there were places were you could just go rent a katana and buy some mats and practice much the way you can go down to a shooting range and shoot targets for practice or letting off steam.
I agree, such a place would be a hell of a thing. But, then I realize the amount of shall we say 'untrained' (to be polite) people who would try doing it with almost no training and just go to slice shit up cause it'd look cool. Which would be down right insulting to, not only the weapon, but the tradition and martial art itself.

This is incredible. I would love to learn the art of wielding a katana.
Wonderful skill! Especially the cuts when the severed mat stays upright! Much applause 👏👏
強い技は美しい
戦闘に機能美はあると思う
この機能美が人生の姿勢になったり、善い人格に例えられたりするんだろう

@Wong Danny Thank you!!
@MtnTow Thank you very much!! You want to buy a big screen! ?Really!? It is a word very happy for me!
@0305robin ありがとうございます!特に男性に比べ女性は力がない為刀を早く振ることが出来ないので正確性が求められます。正確に斬れると格好もよくなりますね!
this makes me happy after seeing all of those failures!
those poor tatami mats though, just piles of them!
@VicariousReality Thank you!!
0:34 now that's a good swing
Man... you guys have come sooo far, i love your channel for being able to watch your progression.
@一ノ谷 デュエル どのようなイメージされてたかはわかりませんが、一本の藁だけに集中して斬るとこんな感じです。これが二本、三本立てになるとまた違って見えると思いますよ。

yeah, totally agree. But I mean I'm so used to traditions and cultures getting shit on here in the USA that it wouldn't bother me so much haha.
