Such a gifted singer. I wonder if anyone has counted their different songs. Then to hear the doves joining in was lovely. I used to wake up to the sweet songs of mockingbirds in Texas which I just loved. Having never heard a thrush sing full throated, I am in awe!
Hello Sharon, yes, indeed the Song Thrush will also perch, singing away for hours on end. I wish I had one in my garden every day, serenading me. Thank you for your kind comments, my friend. 👍◕‿◕

Hello Jane, yes, I agree that we should plant more hedgerows and small bushes in areas that may not support trees so much. Development is taking way too much habitat away from our Wildlife and Birds which may struggle as a consequence of that. Perhaps the developers should be made to plant hedgerows and bushes with each area they develop. Thank you for your comment, my friend. 👍◕‿◕

Hello again friend, thank you, that's nice of you to say. It was one of those situations where I was walking my dog most mornings in the early stages of the first UK lockdown and there was literally no-one about. I could hear Thrushes in the distance and headed for them each morning when I did. I must have got 2 hours or more and almost did a 2-hour video! For me to get 20K views on a bird video is very rare, so for me it is hugely successful. I have seen your 'more successful' video too. It is wonderful! Thank you for your kind comment, it is much appreciated. 👍◕‿◕
Hello my friend, I am pleased you enjoyed watching the Song Thrush and listening to their amazing songs. I never ever get tired of hearing them in springtime and they really cheer me up too. Thank you for your comment. 👍◕‿◕
Dear Jane, like I did for the video of the Robin, I watched the video while working on the other monitor, and I take the chance to write You that in fact it is really great that any moment I watch there is really a Thrush (a Robin in the previous video of the series) singing on my desk and not just a photograph with his song played. Quite a job You made over these months! I enjoyed listening and even if these Thrushes slightly damaged my ears, I feel good. ^ ^ Have a beautiful weekend dear Jane!
Hi Andrea, the way you had the video playing whilst doing other things and with the chance to watch the Song Thrushes singing at a glance, or with a cup of tea etc. is I feel, the best way to get something from it yourself. When I have clicked on a similar video, but then realize it is just a stock photo with a downloaded CD playing over it, I feel cheated. That's why I took the entire season to collect this footage as i went along until I had enough. I'm pleased after watching/listening it made you feel good. Thank you as always for your sincere and kind comment my valued friend. I truly appreciate it. 👍💗◕‿◕
I have a rescued thrush holding me hostage right now. She sits on my chest and demands I play this video. Every time I stop it she tweets at me. It’s actually the cutest.
Aww, that is wonderful my friend! We also have a rescue here at our home... (see Pixies Wildlife Rescue on FB) although it is almost full of Pigeons at the moment, plus a blind Crow, a 1 winged Jackdaw and 4 Squirrels (illegal to rehab these but how can you turn tiny pink jelly baby sized ones away that would die otherwise) and one or two others. I love Thrushes and we managed to rehab and release a few this season. Such beautiful birds and wonderful singers... it's also a bit funny as I can imagine your rescue Thrush on your chest, LOL. Thank you my friend. 👍◕‿◕

I'm sure their numbers have steadily declined over the last 20 years or so and as you say, habitat loss is not helping at all, although they are garden birds and that may be what is saving them. That said, they have cats and other predatory wildlife to fend off. I don't see anything as bad as it is around your area tho'. En outre, il existe probablement plus d'un million de vidéos TH-cam sur les grives. Seront-ils tous téléchargés alors ?

Yo Portland's got alot of these
Hello Sean, that's great my friend! Is Portland in Australia? I don't know of anyone who doesn't enjoy hearing the Song Thrush in full voice. They are one of the very best songbirds there is (in my opinion). Thank you for your visit and comment. 👍◕‿◕
Portland Oregon USA but in the outskirts closer to the cascade mountain range
@@seanmimder1830 aaah right, I wasn't aware of a Portland, USA. It's good to know they are out there too and thank you for the info my friend. 👍◕‿◕
Does anybody know what bird that is in the background at 32:05? Is it a peacock?
Hello there, I have just listened back to it and yes, you were right, as it was a Peacock. I filmed most of these scenes from close to a local zoo and the Peacocks are in there. Thank you for watching, my friend. 👍◕‿◕
Wow, nice footage of this great singer! Great channel overall, deserve a like and a subscription! Greetings from Portugal
Hi Horacio, thank you for watching this video and I'm so pleased you enjoyed it and liked my channel. thank you also for leaving a comment and for the sub. I will come over to your channel shortly. 👍◕‿◕
I actually had a young thrush come a few feet in front of me before which was incredible. He was eating a little bit of dropped cake on the floor, but unfortunately I didn’t capture it on camera since i didn’t have my phone on me
Hello again Theo, how nice the Thrush came close. I always say that if you just take a seat where you can, when out in nature, the birds will soon appear and it is amazing how close one or two will come, if you stay still for a while. I wish you a lovely day my good friend. 👍◕‿◕

Hello Claire, we have a rescue here too and I will do the same if and when we get any Thrushes in. It must be fabulous to see the chicks reacting to the sounds. Thank you for your uplifting comment my friend, much appreciated.
If you are going out anytime, I have done a 6 hour singing Thrushes video too. th-cam.com/video/3njeKH9iSbg/w-d-xo.html
Please tell mell me the bird in the background.
You will have to tell me the exact time in the video that you mean as it is one hour long and I have no idea at what point you mean. 👍◕‿◕

One of these have appeared near my house recently, never heard it before. He sings all day, just lovely. ❤️🤍💙
Hello there, I would love for a Song Thrush close to my home and singing daily, they rreally do bring joy and are one of the best songbirds there is, in my opinion. I hope he finds a mate and they nest nearby. Then he will sing to let other males know this is his territory, plus to impress his partner. Thank you for your comment my friend. 👍◕‿◕
