First 10 Minutes | The Amazing Spider-Man (HD Scene)
Of all the Peter's we've had, this is the one that feels the most like a real person. I don't want to disparage Tobey or Tom or even Jake Johnson or Chris Pine, because they all gave/give fantastic performances and embody the unique spirits of their Peters, I think Andrew (and everyone else involved in this movie) created a character with a depth and history that hasn't quite been matched. Andrew's Peter feels like a kid I could have known in high school. Though I'm likely biased by having been in high school when I first saw this movie. In any case, I'm glad these movies and Andrew's character in particular have been more recognized in the wake of NWH and our nostalgia.
The high school and home aspect of this movie describes my life for the past 4 years perfectly well (including now!)!
I feel like I'm Peter Parker in real life! I'm also a social outcast, alone all the time at school and always feeling lonely. Got bullied by some girls, but in the end they don't bully me anymore, they love me in the end! I also got bullied by boys, and my ex-girlfriend saved me from them (this is when we are still in a relationship), this part is like Peter and Gwen. And never got bullied by them again!
In Sept 2021, I broke up with my girlfriend which the relationship had lasted for 2 years.
The way we met first time is almost the same as how Peter met Gwen in the movie!
We met on 8th January 2019. It was a lunchtime, I was running for the canteen then I fell over. Only my left hand was bleeding a little bit (it was scraped by the path), I got up quickly and kept on running. After I ate my lunch outside the English block, she came to me crying (at least with tears in her eyes) and asked if I'm alright. I said I'm alright. She says no while she looks at my left hand. I said it's fine. But she said it's not fine and I got to got to med to see the school nurse. I rejected the offer to go to the school nurse (because really it's not a big deal). She was determined to get me to the med room. And so at last, I let her take me to the school nurse where she asks for a plaster. When we are outside the med room, she peeled the laster and put it on my left hand very gently. And we said goodbye to each other. When she left the corridor, I think back to what happened, that's when I realise she done this because she love me, and that's the moment when I fell in love with her. I don't feel lonely with her. I feel alive when I'm with her!
It was between September 2020 to march 2021, where I stayed away from her, because I was insecure. I was nervous around her, so I just watch her in a long distance away from her. But in between April and May 2021, it got a little bit better, still not as good as 2019 tho.
We broke up because I was distant from her for a long time and she don't want our relationship like this and she can see that I can't change, plus we are on different paths after graduation of secondary school. This is the almost the same as Peter and Gwen again!
I feel dead after the break up, can't live my life without her! A bit like Peter Parker after Gwen's Death. And it took me 1 year to recover from the breakup. It's a chaotic recovery journey, but I had recovered at last! But she will still sometimes sneak onto my mind now, and the difference this time is now, I don't feel really depressed and angry like just after the break up, and I know this is going to stay with me forever!
And it's exactly after the 1 year mark where I found my current girlfriend! My current girlfriend is a lot better than my ex-girlfriends!

@@angelmaldonado5657 You're certainly entitled to whatever opinion you want. I definitely don't think these were perfect movies, and I'd argue that holistically they are very flawed. But I can assure you that I loved them long before NWH came out, and especially their version of Peter Parker.

holy crap I actually just realized that! Oscorp really was just pure evil in TASM universe, i wish we got the scene of Harry absolutely ann¡h¡Iating everyone and everything inside of oscorp in TASM2, that would be one of the most satisfying scenes in the whole franchise

While I prefer Raimi's trilogy more than this Spider-Man universe, as a standalone movie, this movie is actually pretty good.

I like the first movie, the second movie sucks. But I like Tom Holland’s spiderman the best since he looks the youngest, and it’s much easier to believe that he’s a kid.
Tobey had better random characters like the school students but Andrew had a better flash in development
10 minutes in and it already has me hooked and it’s so good! I also liked that in this series Peter Parker was a skater. I wish they kept that for the next movie. Idk why, but It would be cool to have Spider-Man as a skater and even use a board at time. It would be kinda fun to see him on it preforming tricks no one else can do.

I don't know why people hated it so much. It fits well with Spider-Man's personality as a happy, go lucky trickster.
3:10 Peter got hit in the head with a basketball.
Though I know a lot of people liked the the Tobey version, I actually preferred this one, as it was closer to the comics. I always thought Tobey was such a weenie, and Peter Parker in the comics was never such a weenie. He was always quippy and fast as both Peter and Spiderman.
I do like how Andrew’s Peter is more of an awkward quiet kid rather than just a nerd. People say that his Peter is more cool but he’s still pretty awkward.

I still want Chris Zylka's Flash to be Agent Venom though. He befriended Peter after Uncle Ben's death and graduated alongside them. He allowed him to unleash his anger on him for a short while and sympathized with him. His Flash Thompson is the most three-dimensional portrayal there is 👌👌❤️❤️
Honestly, I loved the Flash in the TASM franchise, it's a shame he was only there for like 5 minutes, he feels human and not like a poor comic relief

Although I am nostalgic for the original and I love the MCU version. To be honest, this is definitely my favourite cinematic Spider-Man. Yes, I said it, and I have no regrets.

Andrew Garfield is the one who got me into Spider-Man (Wasn't into the Tobey ones at first) I think it was mostly because of my love for skateboarding but also I was already a fan of Andrew's before this
This is the first Spider-Man movie I ever watched. I was 10 when I first watched it. I saw it at the drive-in. It was my first time going to the drive-in, but I always and still do prefer the movie theater. I watched this all the time when I was 11. That was until a few years later when I realized that Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy was way better than this.
Reverse for me I watched the original trilogy then this came out and I preferred it
Same thing, I wasn’t born during the raimiverse but when I first watched this I didn’t like it since I thought spider man was supposed to have organic webs at the time but I grew on to the idea of mechanical web shooters
That's funny cause it was the other way around for me. I grew up watching all three raimi spider-man movies and they were my favorite but when the TASM movies came out I preferred them instead. I do think that the Raimi films are better written but I also think Andrew's performance as Spider-man is better than Tobey's.
My first ever Spiderman I watched was the pilot episode from the 70's with Nick Hammond as Peter/Spidey
