Join me for this easy recipe passed to me by my Grandmother. This delicious probiotic and prebiotic food is perfect for gut health and makes a great side dish, salad base, or appetizer. Your family and your guests will love it!

Recipe:
1 Head of Cabbage
4 Medium Carrots
3 Tablespoons of Sea Salt
2 Cups of Filtered Water
Clean and grate carrots and cabbage.
Add salt and mix everything pressing the mix to release the juice
Place mixture in the 1-gallon glass jar and add water to cover
Weigh the mixture down so it’s submerged under water
Leave on the kitchen counter for 3 days while
poking the mixture frequently to release the bitterness
After 3 days place the jar in the refrigerator
Enjoy!

May I put my fermented things in air tight jars for store in fridge. ?
This is a great question and t hank you so much for your comment and watching the video, Amjad. Since the fermentation process still continues, although very slowly, during refrigeration it's better not to air-seal your jars to let CO2 gas escape. Make sure that your fermented product remains covered with liquid and close your jar loosely. Fermented food can remain in the refrigerator for up to a month.
