If I were to flip my boxlink brackets, could I just use the hole that the anchor bolt goes into as it would now be on the top of the bracket? I have a hard roll up cover exactly as you show in this video and trying to save an additional $90 for brackets as I'm planning on dropping $600 already for a 2 position rack.
The pin on the cross bar is 1.25” long requiring that much depth. Your idea works if you are willing to drill a hole behind the bracket if more depth is needed. May be a cool solution.
I like it. I would add tie-down points to this adapter in a future version. Even better if it also includes an e-track cleat.
