- After sitting in the sun for the day I was surprised at this results. I didn’t expect this quick of a 3D printing failure. So which is better PLA or PETG?

PLA Pro? PetG is great stuff but I need it in matte hard to find.
The his was Inland PETG. I wish there was a matte PETG!!
Your fence is white and white filament would also absorb less sunlight. Why not use white?
black works better
I'm in Texas and I have a petg cup holder insert in my truck that has held up through the Texas summer in the car and I have address numbers that I printed for the side of my house that is held up no problem with petg
Awesome. I use PLA but have been thinking about PETG for more versatile things like outdoor use and heat and sturdier items for kids
It held up well so far!
@@super3dtok what printer and settings are you using.
This was done on the Bambu Lab X1C using the generic PETG profile.
just depends on where you live. also pretty sure UV light can break down PLA, might be wrong
PLA will break down with UV and high heat.
Do you like to just use Bambu’s profile or do you tune your filaments?
I’ve been sticking with Bambu’s profiles.
Update 2 months later?
I have to! But I will tell you this, I was just outside over there like a week ago (actually used them in another video) and they are still holding up fine!
Pla is meltastic. Doubt you need those brims though
Honestly, I probably didn’t. My slicer is set for auto brim so if it feels it needs it I let it go. I feel like with this latest slicer build, everything needs brims. Lol
