The reason for them smiling was cause Ghidorah was finally defeated agsin. They wouldn’t had been happy if he would had destroyed Earth wuen done that movement. But since the planet was not destroyed or exploded, the things are I guess okay. They didn’t like that neither, but Ghidorah had to be stopped at a point.
