Hi everyone! I'm an American from the Northeast (New England). I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through TH-cam videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

At 2:30 he said “at least you can rely on the weather” because in the UK you never know when it’s going to rain. You leave the house in the morning with a sunny clear sky 😎 and by the end you’re soaking wet from the rain that you didn’t know was coming 😅

Great reaction as usual. About 12 years ago I had to go to Egypt for 5 days with work, then on my return I had to go to Belfast, again with work. I caught a stomach bug just before leaving Egypt. While on the ferry between Scotland and Ireland, I had to sit as close to the toilets as possible, holding a plastic bag containing spare toilet rolls and underwear just in case.
I've got this DVD but watching someone else laughing and losing it while watching this is a bonus. Plenty of times this has got me out of a bad mood! Great video and channel. Cheer's Fella 🇬🇧

In 1971 I went to Benidorm for my Honeymoon, and yes it struck us both for a couple of days.
Also that year we both had to get Cholera shots because of the floods in the South of Spain that year.
We still had a great time! (by the way, still together 50+ years later)

I get where you're coming from - I'm the same. If I go to a town or place for the first time, then the priority is making sure I know where the toilets are, because a bit like Micky says about the five seconds.

I had the shits for two weeks in turkey about 15 year ago it was a good job the beach was quiet so dug a hole in the sand ? I knew I wasn’t going to make back to the hotel . I was so glad to get on that plane and get back to the UK

In the eighties I was working away from home and every day full English breakfast then at night Indian restaurant and beers after a weekof this I returned to the warehouse as we pulled up I had to run to the toilets as I was about to sit my arse went west it was like slurry and it went everywhere if I’d eaten a bag if peanuts I could have pebbledashed a detached house 🤣

Some times when abroad you have to plan your emergency route ensuring that you can get from the table to the lav in under 5 seconds flat and that you're wearing easily droppable trousers and pants. I haven't been to Mexico but they're probably too busy trying to deal with drug cartels, houses collapsing and half the population illegally emigrating to worry too much about Health & Safety and Food Hygiene. Spain and Greece were a bit like that until they joined the EU. Eating a salad used to be like playing Russian Roulette.

You don't actually have any of these conditions in my opinion , you only have American food with all the supplements and nitrates , when you go abroad or even to Mexico you are actually eating fresh food without any additives , Many Americans have this problem just now because of their diets , even American woman's menstruation changes because of the difference in diet from country to country , just an observation but why does America bleach their eggs and then you have to refrigerate them when the actual whole wide world keeps them out of the fridge , You must know that the eggshell is porous and anything that the egg is submerged in will take that liquid on board , so as Americans you are actually eating bleach when You eat eggs , wow , so disgusting . The Amount of people from all over the world who travel to America and eat the food also have the shits .
