I wish they would do the entire discworld series.. although I think Sony could do a great job, they have such a great animation crew, the Croods, Train your dragon etc.. they could really do it justice. It seems it is all about licencing and contracts and making more money...

To be fair during the guild scene, if I remember right, the guild's of Anhk Morpork and their influence only extend to what counts as the city where the Watch have jurisdiction, not the entire Disc. The band could have got a gig elsewhere outside of the city and paid their due's afterwards... and 75 from each, that's about 225 total to the musicians guild.

Fantastical seeds of creation are planted in the imaginations in the fertile soil of artistic minds to grow and flower and be pollinated by another wonderful artist to bear fruit that is plump and juicy and ripe until it falls from that tree to rot or be devoured and release its own hybridized seeds in the imaginations of the generations to follow. The girl with the skunk striped hair flying away on her horse reminds me of a scene from the animated movie, "Heavy Metal", where Tarna rides away on her flying dinosaur bird.
