    I pray to God & really hope, that the fabulous artisan women of Nepal are getting their full fair trade shake & credits for their incredibly unique, & wonderful hard work, work ethic, & unmatched effort! They're indeed the real talent, and the hard work behind the rest of the work!

    I have to say that I love how simply you do the slipknot, so many others make it look like a complicated process

    This is a fun project, and I benefitted from your clear instructions! If I want to make a bigger basket, how do I join two pieces of yarn (to make a longer strand) without the knot showing? Or am I limited by the length of my yarn?

      Hey there! Thanks so much, so glad it was helpful. It'll be really simple to adjust this to a larger size. I find it best to join the ends of two balls of yarn using a felting needle. We have a felting pen available on our website that allows you to fuse the two ends together really easily. I like to cut each end of yarn at a slight angle, then hold the two ends together so the angles overlap then felt them together using the needle tool. That way you won't see the big bump of a knot. Hope that helps! (And if you do knit a bigger size, make sure to knit tightly using our rigid felted Tough Love yarn so that it has the best chance of standing up well and not slouching ;)

    This is so helpful! Thank you so much. This same pattern would also work for smaller knits too right? Because I can't really go and get more yarn before I finish what I have and I have a lot of thin yarns.

      So happy you enjoyed it! This pattern is designed for thick, rope-like Tough Love yarn so that the basket has structure and can stand on its own. But give it a try! Other yarn will make something fun and you can always play around with bunching strands of thinner yarn together for more structure or knitting it around a vase to maintain its shape. And in the end you can always use what you make with thinner yarn as a hat ;)

      @@lovefestfibers7424 Yeah! And I'll anyways be trying to make a smaller sized basket because making a big one with thin yarn would take forever!

      I have a lot also I plan to double up by using more than one strand that will make it thicker and more sturdy.

    Hi, this is great! How would you suggest I make it more of an oval shape ?

    • @lovefestfibers7424

      That's a good question! I haven't actually tried but I think there may be some options to augment the shape when you're cinching the bottom and where you create the tension. That should be fun to try!

    Hi there, how to measure how big, small, short or tall we want our baskets?
    Thank you

    • @lovefestfibers7424
      @lovefestfibers7424  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! You'll want to add extra stitches when casting on to make it taller, or leave some out to make it shorter. Add or subtract rows to change the basket's width. Thanks!
