I’ve seen this clip play out in real life many times. The student is smarter than the teacher, the teacher punishes the student, demeans and belittles them. I’ve seen it get to the point that in the end the student learns to stop trying, as they will just be punished if they do. It’s extremely sad that some teachers cannot recognise talent, brilliance, and prodigies.. They only recognise these things and feel resentment, jealousy and competition they simply cannot compete with.. This can really change the direction the child’s life goes in unfortunately, without the right support, encouragement and guidance from teachers they may never get to be the best they can be, in a place where they should be. 😓
