Loved how they mentioned Dave Ramsey. We worked his program all the way and are truly living free. No debt whatsoever. Home paid off, 3 kids college fully funded (no student loans for them), 2 year living expenses saved and still building wealth. Hubby retires next year at 55 and I will retire in 4 1/2 when our last child graduates high school (I’ll be 54 then). We are not worrying about all this mess that’s going on in the world and relying on God and having a peace of mind is the best thing. It was not easy (getting out of debt) but all the hard work was truly worth it. It’s nice to see young couples learn early to work together. Beautiful couple too.
@@MsLkane The Total Money Makeover. One of the best books I’ve ever read too. We both worked during that time and I started a side hustle (I’m a great baker, cookies, cakes, pies, different breads and soul food). My side hustle has turned into a part time job now and I work less hours at my main job. This is what I’ll be doing when I retire- working for myself. Stay blessed and best of luck in the new year
Wow - the section around 13:00 minutes when she said that she knew he was doing his absolute best as a man - even if he didn't do everything 'the right' way - that hit home! Nothing like having a powerful and supportive spouse by your side.
I love this couple. They're such a unit and are a prime example of how both partners are equals in a relationship and that, at the end of the day, compassion with each other and one's self really help with getting debt-free. I definitely beat myself up a lot after I really went over my debts, but I'm trying to practice both compassion while staying disciplined on my journey. I'm new to this channel but this was a GREAT episode.
It was easier for me to stop drinking then to stop using my credit card. Worst addiction. Its just a swipe here and there and before you know it you're in a mount of debt. Thank God he opened my eyes. I'm now only using cash and boy does it hurt, but it's a growing process.
I loved them on the Black Love series and the fact that they used the Dave Ramsey Babysteps was soooo cool😊 Prayer and fasting and having a partner who believes in and supports you were awesome take aways from this blog‼️ I pray this goes viral and gets millions of views because of how realistic and inspiring it is ❤
Wow I just found your chanell...you guys are beautiful black ppl from the hosts to the guests thanks for showing how phenomenal we are as a ppl...I'm a new subscriber thank you!
I needed to hear this episode. I have to climb out of credit card debt again for like the 3rd time but my main issue is following and sticking to a budget and have some discipline
Pastors God bless, I am recovering from heart surgery at this moment, but I wanted to say thank you for bringing us these beautiful journeys currently I'm on my debt free journey and watching others succeed in their journey motivates me even more. What a blessing, thank you and love you guys. ACE from Pennsylvania
I remember when they first came on the scene from Black Love. I followed their journey because I thought their love story was unconventional. The next time I watched a video about them was about their first time becoming debt fee. Tony is an honorable man to own his role in the debt accumulation. Brittany always seemed like she had a good head on her shoulders and is an example of allowing God to be the Lord of the HOH. When God is in it, you can accomplish any goal. It’s great to see their financial journey and them making wise decisions. I’m inspired and excited to see what’s next for them. Yass to black wealth 🎉
This was a great session, you guys are a blessing by sharing and bringing on people that share stories of their struggles and their successes, love it!
Excellent line of questioning you two! Also, thank you to Tony and Brittany for sharing! All of you are helping so many with this! Best to you Human Family! ❤
Loved this...Very inspiring! I can definitely relate to the relapse. I relapsed the end of this year. I've been trying to keep from giving up and this video really helped me. Thanks for sharing and Congratulations!!😎😁😉💕
This was a great one. I cleaned up my credit and bought a home in 2020. I have fallen backwards a bit and I’m back in debt. I took quite a few gems from this. I do have one question though. I am a single woman, so there is only one income for me to provide for myself and family. What are some suggestions you can share to help me speed up the process of paying down my debt? If you have another video on your channel that I can watch, please direct me to that one. Thanks for all you & your guests shared on this video!
Create more income. It’s always easier to pay things when you’re making more money. So get a new job, drive Uber, do delivery driving. There’s so many options.
Just curious for non student load debt why don’t people just file for bankruptcy instead especially if it’s over $10k ??? No offense but if I’m $60k-$100k plus in debt I’m not paying it back I’ll give up the car the house whatever and call it a day
The fact that she said "it was fun" as an answer to the question about not telling her husband that she was been ready to pay off the loans is a huge red flag. I suspect that she caused most of the debt.
I can watch this episode over and over! Everyone speaking is a blessing!
I tried to "like" your comment, but I had already liked it 😂

This is awesome and congrats! May I ask which Dave Ramsey program you chose?
Great job!

This make me so happy 😊
Do you take Dave Ramsey 9 week course!
“Ego…and that looking good got us $235 thousand dollars in the hole” My, my, my how easy it is for all of us to relate to that.
Wow - the section around 13:00 minutes when she said that she knew he was doing his absolute best as a man - even if he didn't do everything 'the right' way - that hit home! Nothing like having a powerful and supportive spouse by your side.
Great couple, love their story! $100K + 235K = 335K debt paid off!!! There, I fixed it!
Very easy to get trapped in debt again 😮

That young couple just radiates joy!! Good for them
Yes indeed!
Love this story. Confirmation that I need to stick to the plan to be debt free!!
Debt-free is great but when achieving Debt Free then find ways where your money begins to make more money for you.

This couple kept it 100% real about paying off debt and getting back into debt. When Brittany said "it was fun" I felt that lmao. Great episode!

Wow. Her hair is gorgeous 😍
Hubby and I have become debt free 3 times now. It’s definitely a mind shift and something that doesn’t stop once you pay off debt.
So true!
If it was such a mindshift why did you need to do it 3 times? Just curious.
This was right on time for me. I'm in this situation right now. 😭 Thank you for your story.
You got this!
This was soooooo on point. I needed to hear every word. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS! SOOOOOO MANY GEMS! What an awesome way to start our new year!

Increase your income ( side hustle) and decrease expenses. Always do a budget and tell your money what to do!
