    Hello! I have been vegan for a year, and since turning vegan, I have not eaten any of the foods I used to eat as a Vietnamese girl in a Vietnamese household. I have had a lot of fun learning how to cook all kinds of American foods, but I really miss Vietnamese food. Not for the animal products of course or even necessarilly the taste, but the connection I felt with my family's culture. I felt so happy to see that you posted this video. It really makes me feel so included. I just want to say thank you

    This is just the best channel because, besides Jasmine and Chris being so cool, it’s so eclectic. I live this series, the travel vlogs and other vlogs, the taste tests, and their regular recipes are really good too. So creative.

    Did you ever have a Brazilian day of eating ? I am a Brazilian vegan chef but know sooo many talented people/ you tubers with amazing recipes. Oh, and most Brazilians that live bellow the state of Bahia don't have spicy food at all.Hello baby mouth Jasmine... Black pepper is their limit. let me know. Much Love and Peace from Upstate NY, Raquel

    Looks so amazingly delicious! The Viet Vegan's "egg" dish is soooo good. The frugal version is also really good and definitely stretches out the just egg. Highly recommend to all

    Ummm...when are you going to do a Scandi style of this video?! You could get Norwegian recipes from Nikki Vegan (hot tip Im half Norwegian), Swedish from Malin in Good Eatings and Danish from Gittemary. Norwegian pancakes are the BOMB, they're like a crepe and you eat them rolled into a log with brown sugar inside or Julekake which is like a cardamom brioche with sultanas!

    watching your videos brings me so much joy, thanks for doing what you do! if you ever do a Chinese video i recommended 红烧烤麸 (hóngshāo kǎofū - braised wheat gluten). The wheat gluten (烤麸) is kinda like seitan i think (but maybe prepared differently?) this dish is naturally vegan and it’s not spicy so perfect for Jasmine lol. i like the recipe from The Woks of Life (you can search braised wheat gluten on their website and it should come up)

    Lol! Chris, you're right! Ripe Mexican papayas do taste like vomit. 😂😂😂 You gotta try Hawaiian papaya instead. It's mild and tastes more like a honeydew melon when ripe. In Hawaii, we really only use the Mexican papayas when they are green (unripened) for pickling otherwise it is nasty tasting. Anyway, thanks for the recipes. You two are great.

    Thank you for highlighting Vietnamese vegan food! However, the flag emoji you have in your title is the communist flag, a flag that no one outside of Vietnam celebrates. In America, as well as all around the world, the old Vietnamese flag is honored. Cam on! (Vietnamese for 'thank you'!)

    • @fayrefitness
      @fayrefitness 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Fawkes_Eagle The channel creators originally had the communist flag in their title (red background, yellow star). They replaced it with a smile emoji (which is so cool of them). The old flag of Vietnam is yellow with 3 red horizontal stripes. I know it well. Saigon fell to communism two weeks after I was born (I was born in Saigon). I have the old flag hanging in my house, but thanks for explaining it to me.
