Dear Madeline Harris. Thank you for your comment. Our video is made with a real user of our product. She survived a severe cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 18 and struggled through rehabilitation for the last 6 years with much effort. To date, she fights her way back to a normal life with a severely limited shoulder/ elbow and hand function. The one-handed dressing and undressing she did not learn overnight. It took some training and help of her physiotherapist. Madeline, we wish you all the best and you are very welcome to contact your local branch for any support or information about our products: www.ottobock.com/en/company/locations/ Kind regards, Your Team from Ottobock Headquarters
ottobock As someone with a fully flaccid arm, I've experienced some glaring design flaws with the neurexa plus. First of all, as my fingers are like cooked spaghetti, I typically "guide" them through clothes and orthoses using my other hand. The neurexa plus does not provide enough room for this. The two distinct strips of fabric on the cuff make getting fingers through difficult, frustrating, and at times even dangerous. There's also the fact that the device is built for someone with much larger shoulders (aka a man), and slips around and doesn't provide much support I wear the xxs and the shoulder on it is much too big and doesn't sit on my actual shoulder at all. Lastly, I do have sensation in my upper arm and upper part of my forearm (although not in the hand) and the device *hurts*. It pinches, pulls, and when tight enough to provide suitable support it restricts blood flow. My physio and occupational therapist have also tried really hard to get the device to work, and we all agree it's just not designed to fit women, and that the restricted blood flow is not good for edema (or for healing at all). I was so disappointed because I'd really hoped the neurexa plus would give me back some measure of freedom, but so far it has proved unsuitable for daily use.
Thank you Madeline Harris for your more detailed explanation of your existing problem. We hear you! Please understand that our prefabricated orthoses use international scales for sizes and need to be fitted to each user individually by a professionally trained person. He or she will be able to make modifications (shortening or lengthening straps and so on) to fit the orthoses to each patient and their personal needs. Hearing your feedback we would recommend you talk to your fitting partner again to make some further adjustments. Also, it could be an option for you to combine the Omo Neurexa plus with a Manu Neurexa for more support in your hand. Please make sure you speak with your physician/ technician about the best option for you. You can always contact your local Ottobock branch for more personal support, advice, and information. Our experts there will help in the best way they can. Find the contact details here: www.ottobock.com/en/company/locations/ Thank you very much, Your Team from Ottobock Headquarters Germany)

Not especially demonstrative when the model appears to have full mobility in her arm and shoulder
