I wish my husband would watch this. He doesn’t understand why I have so much stuff. Organization is important. What I have in the attic is organized….what’s in my she shed, the former living room and my raft room is another whole story.
Labeling drawers might make it easier to find. I know it does for me.🎉

You can save the brushes you forgot to clean by soaking them in hand sanitizer and rub then clean with Dawn. I got that tip here on youtube and it works!
And you can also soak them in liquid fabric softener. Works even on the hardest dried brushes!
Thanks for taking us along on the organizing day. I change my mind, I talk to myself, and sometimes I just have to dump it all out and start from scratch. I am glad you have a product for “smelly drawers” no one wants stinky drawers! Love those bins you were using.

You go girl. Good job. Just a tip...even though you have separated items into various bins, I would mark the contents on a piece of card stock and tape it to the outside of the box or list the items on a large index card and place it inside the box leaning on the side that shows where you can read it. Things often get buried in the bin and you cannot find it, so frustrating. Nice job getting everything organized😊

I didn't hear you say anything about the label maker but, often I think that I've said something out loud and it turned out that I WAS just talking to myself... hahaha!

Thanks to the video, I love to organize! I would save my old fusion containers or get something that stacks better and put the milk paint with the color label on the outside (put on with packing tape) to store. That way I can see all the colors! I like seeing what I have!

YOU GO GO GO!!!!! I’d have loved to see Chris’ reaction to all your hard work! When I purge I purge HARD! Hubby just helps me load it in his truck for donation or dump without comment, he knows I’ve already beat myself up over money lost! I always do ROY G BIV on my paints, it gives me general area for colors, especially the milk paint. I also do organization based on Holiday, like your bells for me I’d put in Christmas/Winter then if I needed them for something else I’d know they are there. I have found if I break it down into too many categories I lose stuff (and my mind) 🤪 I am SO IMPRESSED with all you did! Go get a tea and rest the tired back!!! ❤
Love that.. yes.. my son loaded it up and took it to donate.. though he looked through it( he’s picker at heart too) he grabbed a few things for his girlfriend. Thanks for the tip.
You could ask Chris to make you some “spice like” risers for the Fusion paint in the jars. So you can see in the back.

Those “bedpans” had holes! If you were to use them you’d need something for “smelly drawers.” I would have loved to have helped you. It’s always easier to help someone else clean, organize, and purge than to do your own! It looks fantastic!

Use your cricket to make labeling for your brushes and accessories or doll up them tin cans for more eye appeal. Just an idea 💡

Drawer dividers, like silverware, would work great for drawers for scissors etc.

How funny I just did the same thing but on a much smaller scale. Off to a flea market tomorrow to get rid of the items that haven't moved on Facebook marketplace or things I am not interested in upcycling. I love watching you Yvonne as we have a lot in common. I'm a ginger chick, love crafting, hate stickers and upcycle old to a new life. I'm in Australia so a different clientele here but I get my fix and make money to buy more 😊

Before you throw those hard brushes away try soaking them in acetone. May not work but worth a try. Has worked for me.

I’m jealous of your space. I love how you have it set up. When I organize my space it doesn’t last long. But it because I have such a small space. Give yourself some slack too you’ve made a big move. You and Chris have done so much.
Loved the video….. When you were emptying all the drawers of smalls on to the work bench.. I felt overwhelmed…I have a lot of the same smalls in my stash …and trying to decide what goes together for storage is hard …and some things you have just 2 of and then other things you have 30 of… do you put the two items alone in a storage box or add this to the box to make it kinda full. Then the 30 items are too many for 1 storage box …so do you use several Small boxes or do you increase the size of the storage box !!?!?! BUT then the larger storage box doesn’t fit in the storage area with the smaller storage boxes…. BY THIS TIME I AM JUST A FRAZZLED MESS!!! Which leads me down the path of : what am I doing with my life here ?!?! Do I even have enough creative ability to remake, repurpose and create things other people will want to buy ?!?! AND then I question myself about having a booth in an antique mall ! Seriously WHAT AM I DOIING !?!? Oh golly …and it all began with a simple question … do I put MY little wood stars with my rusty stars ? Lol …. Love your videos on both channels …you are amazing …

Love the organization shows(?)! Idea, make a shelf to raise your milk paint to the top of the shelf and then you have room for all your small in height items. Use screw-in hooks like the kind people hang mugs on to hang your patina spray bottles.

Wise owl has some furniture salve in different scents that are great for those smelly drawers. They smell so good!

Nice. You could do some magnetic boards for the between table and shelves or on the side of cabinets. Attach glues, scissors, scrapers etc.
I tried it on the metal wall.. it fell behind the cabinet.. lol.

Looks great! I think I would have put the milk paint envelopes in the 2nd drawer down. I think it would be easier to flip through to find a color. But that's me. You did an awesome job!

I use those miniature metal whisks you can get a kitchenware shops, for mixing miss mustard milk paint. They cost approximately $2 au.

I watched you decluttering & organizing on yhe tv in my craft room today while i was doing the same. Can't believe how long I have had some items just because I couldn't throw out or donate when I was finished with a project but still had more that was in perfectly good shape.

When you think to do something (like combine the two pouches of milk paint) you should go ahead and do it because it is more time effective to not have to go back re think and re touch everything to do it!

I am on my way to help !!!!! 🤣🤣 GREAT JOB ! The drawers are wonderful for storage of those smaller totes! Then the shelf units are great for your bigger totes. That is what I need….shelves to place my totes on. Gosh to get to the bottom I have to carry “ one by one” a tote out of a small room to get to the bottom….SUPER UGH ! I have lost interest in decorating for seasons because I’m half dead by the time I get stuff out….😖
I have paint brushes that are over 20 years old ( BUT I don’t paint nearly as much as you do). But when you buy good brushes and take care of them. 👍 I don’t like those Zibra Brushes either ! They are soft, but I feel like everything looks streaky. I like my Cling On brushes and Turquoise Iris Brushes the best. I would love to get the red bristled brushes like you have, they have amazing reviews.

You can use the black oil wax over your milk paint to darken the color. Try a sample! ❤

I wonder if you laid the bags of paint in a drawer so that you open the drawer and they are easy accessible if that would work for you. That would free up shelf area. Also leaving bins open-ie: batteries, help you to see them and not forget what you have.
I love bins but when things are closed with a lid it makes it more difficult to actually see what you have.
Seems like the organizing becomes a never ending job for me lol I moved a lot of stuff in the last 3 months had a yard sale but still have a shipping container to do uugh

Yvonne, thank you so much for the Howard's Citrus wax tip. I have several antique dressers that I haven't been able to use because of the "stinky drawers"! I've even had them sent out to "specialists" to seal the wood. Nothing has worked. I had hoped to purchase it through your Amazon link, but couldn't find it there. Keep up these videos! I am so enjoying them.

I’m much like you. I try to organize all my craft items but it’s really hard when you just don’t have the space. Unfortunately all my paint has to be outside in one of those rubber maid tall containers. I could probably use another one but no space for it. I agree a 100% about brushes. When you pay good money money for them they’ve got to be taken care of. I get mad at myself when I get paint in the feral. It’s hard to get it all out. You did a great job at organizing all your goodies. Those small containers are really nice n you can see through them which helps a lot. I would never judge you. You know what your doing. There’s a science to your madness 😂.

oh boy organization thats my weak point i suck at it no matter how i organize it just isnt right it doesnt look right nothing fits right or things i use are hard to get to ughhhhh i have rearranged 100 times im wore out i swear this is last time im trying i even started a craft space in my garage still im not organized

Try the black Oil Wax over the curry milk paint - it is fabulous! I have tried it over the Oh Olive and Red Wagon milk paint and love it!
