I miss these days!! We did not have to worry about Social Media and the internet or anyone trying to hurt us…We were able to be young and live young ❤❤
...Jim KNEW what he was doing...when he called Dylan, "..Son..." (2:37), he was hoping Dylan would see what a TRUE Father would think, say & FEEL....also, getting him out his Daughter's hair....while, HIS Son is such a do-gooder, he's self sabotaging w/ his gambling habit, yet TOO proud to accept Steve's handout (3:26) ....Boys will be BOYS......
The “pros” of signing over Dylan’s trust money was because he deserved a father? Sure, everyone deserves a father, but if his dad wasn’t interested in *being* his father unless he got ahold of his money…? Just sounds really effed up, Jim 😆
I think Jack really was trying to use the money for an investment in his son's future though. Dylan wanted his father to be managing his money so that he can have that trust in him so I think that's what he meant by that. Dylan deserves to have a father doing the things that a father should do for his son like setting him up for his future
Thank you for the video. When I was in my Primary school,I often watched Beverly hills but I Ve no idea what is really going on.By watching this TH-cam I understand what really happened about Brendan,Dylan etc
they had to show brandon w/some sort of vice or issue he was dealing with. for the most part, brandon came off as the typical good guy. brandon having that dui earlier in the series was 1 thing, but the gambling issue definitely was his addiction as it would later re-emerge in the series. tbh, everyone (almost) had their own addiction at some point in this series. brandon - gambling dylan - drugs/alcohol kelly - drugs (cocaine)/eating disorder donna - drugs (pain killers) david - drugs/alcohol steve - drugs (experimenting w/marijuana) & sex brenda - tobacco (smoking cigarettes, didn't last long)
Just goes to show you that the writers were running out of ideas and had to create unnecessary drama. That is one of the reasons I lost interest after season 4 when Brenda left.
@@L99Kyh3r3 Andrea wasn't addicted to politics. The political arena was more with Brandon. She was a supporter for him. If anything, she was always more concerned and stressed about fitting in at WBH, the group, being accepted at certain colleges while trying to get into those colleges, the sorority issue due to her Jewish faith and dating older men. But I agree about Steve with sex.
If only Jim had put that much effort into caring about Dylan when he was dating Brenda, maybe his daughter wouldn't have been put through the ringer when it came to her relationship that ultimately was ruined because of him, even before kelly & dylan did what they did. He drove a wedge between Dylan & brenda and they never fully got back on the same page. Such a shame.
I have never had a gambling problem but I understand how some people can get an addiction and it’s not that they plan on it but in the times that I’ve gambled you know you get that rush, and when I got the rush, I walked away before it took control of me other people they just don’t and that’s what happens They get addicted to gambling
Question: When Dylan’s money was released, did his father blow it all and if so how did that play out with their relationship? I mean to me with his history, I can see him blowing all the money from a mile away, but I don’t think I saw that when the show aired.
No, his father died before ever using it, and then after Dylan graduated high school, he asked Jim to take the money back and cut him a check every month like before, but then when Suzanne and his long lost sister Erica came into the picture, Suzanne and her boyfriend convinced Dylan to invest in some clean the ocean environmental business, and they stole his money, and Dylan had to hire a private detective to get it back.
Steve was right, Brandon was becoming an ADDICT. And Steve was aiding and abetting him
Lmao Brando losing $500 and Steve taking out $100 bill 💵 as if it $5 😊
.....shhhhhhheeeeeeiiii.....I'LL take it, I have NO pride! ...ha-HAAA!! "😆"
😂
Brandon
@@TL2354 it’s Brando🤠
According to Steve’s reaction, $500 must be like $5000 back in ‘93 before inflation hits. 😅
Dylan is supposed to be in highschool, but he looks as old as his dad. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My thoughts exactly. All the teenagers from this show look like they are 30.
All the characters on this show started looking and acting a lot older than a normal high schooler. LOL
They look super young and just shows how good this generation looked and still looks great!!
He was a drug addict
Andrea was in her 30s and the rest in their 20s. I think Steve was like 27?

I feel you on that!.

Jim is also a scheming one. He works with money. Come on. The facade is that he also have a "good and stable" household but...

$500 in 1996 is easily 1000 now
this is 1993
A wuss bet then and a wuss bet today.

Mr Squeaky Clean smug pretentious Brandon almost gets kneecapped
Don’t forget pompous

brandon - gambling
dylan - drugs/alcohol
kelly - drugs (cocaine)/eating disorder
donna - drugs (pain killers)
david - drugs/alcohol
steve - drugs (experimenting w/marijuana) & sex
brenda - tobacco (smoking cigarettes, didn't last long)
Which makes the series soo goood. Theres a character relatable to everyone. I related to brandon cause i also had a gambling problem aswell

You forgot Andrea. She was addicted to politics. And Steve was addicted to sex not marijuana.

@@iceastone Ok. She was addicted to status then.
I was so scared for Brandon. He was losing grip..
😂
Relax. They’re just actors.
Jason Priestly did his job well. There’s so much bad acting out there. He got the audience to really feel/care for “Brandon”.
Poverty striken pride. Steve is so right.
too bad tony soprano couldn''t make a cameo on BH to straighten brando out, lol.

go Dylan and go jack mckay

I'd like to know as well because I don't remember either.

Then it turns out Dylan's father faked his death going into witness protection! I believe he had another family while there?
... and that detective kept 1/2 of dylan's money afterward! 😱
I wish I had a rich friend like Steve.
