  • Its important to note that this is a 32 hour burning stove. We only achieved 14 hours from this stove which is what we were after by keeping our draft a little below half. Our building being over a 100 years old is very drafty and the furnace at night is set to 13.5 degrees Celsius. It was 16.8 went I got to the store at 7:15am. Imagine what this could do in your home.

    Blaze King stoves have the best system because of the combuster. Years ago I introduced a friend to popular science magazine. They were introducing Blaze King's new stove. My friend was having difficulty with an oversized Earth Stove, coupled with an exterior chimney, and a small and very well insulated house. He had to throttle his burn back to the point where he had to clean his chimney every 2 weeks. He also had painted his chimney a nice brick red. After a couple of month's of use black watery croesote had reached the bottom. I showed him the article in P.S. and he immediatly purchased the Princess model. He came over to shake my hand as his problem was cured.
    I have wanted one of your units for years but because of finances could not afford.
    I cannot understand why your company has not been able to incorporate a furnace with a combuster that would connect to ductwork?

      Hi Eric, I don't work for Blaze King, I am a dealer for them. I think in the next couple of years we will see something come out with this technology in a furnace. ***Fingers Crossed***

    Because of where i live, i primarily get pine and aspen. Will those types of wood work with this unit, and can you burn them overnight? The long burn time is why i am considering buying a princess model however if pine and aspen still wont burn very long in one of these i won't be gaining much

      It'll get long burns regardless of the wood. The better the wood the more heat it'll put out. With aspen/polar/pine I would venture a guess if 12 hrs on medium-low. I get 14 on spruce/pine/poplar. Of course your heating needs and size of the space all plays a factor in burn time. Hope this helps.

    Can you demonstrate how to lift up the pipe at the base of the stove in order to clean the inside?

      The pipe in this video is for demonstrations and is not intended for in home use.

    I have a princess 29 and haven't been able to get mine to run overnight when I am running the blower. Does the blower influence the cats temp?

      I would think the blower would have some influence on the cat. Essentially the blower is cooling the top of the unit. I think more importantly the blower may affect the thermostat and cause it to open sooner than later.

    Nice video, looking at replacing my pellet stove with a wood stove. Really like the Blaze King and the heritage soapstone.

      Chris M thanks, I usually run my Lopi AGP pellet stove on low and the window can get dirty also. Well insulated 2500 sq foot home. So the BK doesn’t have the spike in temps like a typical steel stove I take it? We like a pretty consistent heat.

    How long have you had the stove?
    Does'nt pallet wood mess up the catalytic converter?

      I compare cost of this stove compared to my heat pump. At this price is would take many years for it to pay for itself. Not very cost effective

      Do you live in cold Canada, lol. Heat pumps are not effective after approx -23'C. But depending on your system, you also have central air. That would be a bonus in our two months of summer. Cheers from Canada ehhh :-)

    What is the plug for on the side

    • @tinmaninc2023
      @tinmaninc2023  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plug on the side is for the blower attached to the back of the stove.

      Depends on where you live. In Canada a 30 hour burning unit is over $4000.

    Do these stoves have a ash drawer to make ash removal easy or still gotta scoop ash out

    • @tinmaninc2023
      @tinmaninc2023  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes ash pans are optional on these stoves.
