Oh My Gosh! Did not know Kasey was a writer on this song! I am really impressed with all of the music on Nashville, I told my mom that whoever writes for Nashville is a Genius. Not to mention I've been driving around listening to Merry Go Round over and over that last few weeks! I really love this girl. ~Bria
Found a bio on Tunes:Songwriter and country singer Kacey Musgraves was born in Golden, Texas, Made her stage debut at eight years old, was writing her own songs by. She self-released three albums, Movin' On(2002), Wanted: One Good Cowboy(2003), and Kacey Musgraves(2007). Got a break on Nashville Star, coming seventh, placed songs with artists like Miranda Lambert, with whom who she now co-writes songs. Signed a record deal with Mercury 2012, and her first single is "Merry Go 'Round".
These guys are amazing. Thank you for this beautiful song. "and u would trade your best day, just to have your way, all these years"-that's so my mom :( but :) thx
Absolutely adore this version. Its simplicity is its allure... I wish we could purchase this version. The one available for download with Nashville seems over produced and lacks this depth. Great job, guys!!
She used mamas broken heart as her demo before she let Miranda Lambert record it. I think Kacey's version is amazing, i wish i could download that version...you have to listen to it if you haven't!
Love this song! ... 'been tryin' to play it on guitar but I can't get the chords of "And it's a whole lot harder to shine"... sounds like variations of G-D-Em ... but not quite such simple chords... help!
"Tim McGraw" was Taylor's first song, released when she was 16. If you want to check out more up-to-date acoustic songs by Taylor, listen to "Dear John", "Never Grow Up", "Ours", "Treacherous", "Begin Again" or "Sad Beautiful Tragic". And "Tim McGraw" seriously wants to make you hurl? If that is what you consider a bad song, then your tastes are very different from mine and from the vast majority of music listeners. Maybe that's why you're perpetually frustrated.
I made a recording of the actors writing this sing in first episode I was so taken with it...unfinished incomplete...good to hear this-and I'm an old woman and should know better... but still believed Hayden had written it....why are Americans so bad at giving credit where credit is due? Why so much plastic? Why so much fake? Which breeds more fake?
Maybe because they are mediocre in your opinion, but not in the opinion of most others? Could you name these Taylor Swift acoustic songs you listened to, by the way?
You all did the right thing by selling this to ABC, but this is a way better version and it's a shame you couldn't make it as big by singing it yourselves :)
This song needs to come back in a future Kacey Musgraves "Best Hits album" ---Cannot stop hitting replay on this one!!!! WOW
Here's the thing... Kacey's best hit's will be all of her song on one album because they are all best hits.
"First mile is always harder, when you're leaving what you know"-That's deep.
I want to chill around the campfire with this exact version! Kasey, thank you for your realness!
I can't believe how much she's blown up this past year. So happy for her. She's a great artist
AnMaPa, this comment is equally applicable this year. She's wonderful.
Love this version SO MUCH! Please record it Kacey.
Karen Rogers want her to do her own Mama's Broken Heart too!
She recorded versions of both Undermine and Mama's Broken Heart. They're here on you tube.

I love this song, Kacey Musgraves is such a talented songwriter and singer. I saw her in Manchester earlier in the year and she was phenomenal.
One of the best songs of the decade IMO
I haven't seen Kace in probably 16-17 yrs and im so proud of the woman shes grown in to. Everyone knew she was destined for greatness.
the lyrics are so profound, currently my everyday favourite.
Mine too!!!!!
John Ormond so many of her lyrics are though! Ridiculously talented lyricist.
💗💗💗😍😍😍🌌🌌🌌 Always our Kacey. Always our favorite.
So lucky, wish I had her vocals and beauty 💓
One of those rare songs that comes along and is just simply perfect.

These guys are amazing. Thank you for this beautiful song. "and u would trade your best day, just to have your way, all these years"-that's so my mom :( but :) thx
very cool
kacey really likes this vintage feel
I saw the title and I was like "THIS IS LIKE THE SONG ON NASHVILLE!" And it is like YEAAAHHHHHHH
Love it xD
Absolutely adore this version. Its simplicity is its allure... I wish we could purchase this version. The one available for download with Nashville seems over produced and lacks this depth. Great job, guys!!
Loved it :)
Great job! they should put yall on the show
yes
I want to buy this version!
I love this version. But i love nashvilles version to. The lyrics are beautiful.
same here!
I want that guitar!
Please make this song available for download!
She used mamas broken heart as her demo before she let Miranda Lambert record it. I think Kacey's version is amazing, i wish i could download that version...you have to listen to it if you haven't!
i just heard kaceys song merry go round on cmt bonus track.
PLEASE PUT THIS ON ITUNES!!! I'd rather have you singing it.
i think you can get this version on itunes
I heard this on Nashville and I wanted to know who sang it I'm so happy it's Kacey
Love this song! ... 'been tryin' to play it on guitar but I can't get the chords of "And it's a whole lot harder to shine"... sounds like variations of G-D-Em ... but not quite such simple chords... help!
Loved Hayden's character and Nashville season 1 was great but her version has got nothing on this! So beautiful.
I love the Nashville acoustic version better than any of them. It features Chip a lot more and it's just absolutely perfect (IMO of course).
and I thought Buddy Holly was dead, great song
Saw the show, loved the song. But nobody sings it like you.
wish this was louder!!
I love this version more than the Nashville one!
Did Kacey ever release a full production of this? It's one of the best songs from the show, and I'd love to hear her do a polished version of it.

DGAEC (not all in that order)
I figured out a really simple way to play this capo 7, message me if you want the tab.
hey do you still have the tab to this for capo 7?
the chords are D-G-D-G-C-G-D-A-G-D-A-G-D-G-D-Em-D hope this helps no capo thats how i sing it uploading the video of the cover soon :)
If I could be anybody... I'd be her. Lol
Tori Ponce i
no autotune
This is better than the Nashville verson!
Did Kacey write this song? does anyone know?
she did! they used it on nashville
After listening to it over, it's actually not G-D-Em-D, it's actually Bm-A-G-D. :)
tu voz se parece a la de miley cyrus

Ahhhh. The real Kacey. Before this pseudo diva stuff.
Maybe because they are mediocre in your opinion, but not in the opinion of most others?
Could you name these Taylor Swift acoustic songs you listened to, by the way?
She hasnt made a song yet that I dont like !!!
You all did the right thing by selling this to ABC, but this is a way better version and it's a shame you couldn't make it as big by singing it yourselves :)
