- Chicago's Civilian Office of Police Accountability released bodycam footage of a man being fatally shot by a Chicago police officer in Garfield Park last month, NBC 5's Regina Waldroup reports.

I’ve been in the streets most of my life, 5/10 times after a gun gets used for something illegal like shooting someone or trying to shoot someone the gun either gets tossed in a river or flooded back on to the streets with no trace of who has used the gun or what it’s been used for, expect the police can ALWAYs match back ballistic tests which, are 100% accurate, so if you buy a gun in Chicago on the streets but it was used to kill 6 people in Alabama, you get caught with that gun, your getting charged with all 6 murders, robbery which most likely led to that gun being brought into the streets for illegal use, etc etc. I lived in Chicago for only 3 months and in that time saw a kid who was only 17 years old get charged after getting caught with a gun, he accepted a 65 year deal. Little did he know, along with the 3 drive by shootings they matched ballistics to the gun with in Chicago, it had been used to kill in Ohio and had a string of shootings attached to it in Ohio as well. So he got charged with that homicide, all of the shootings and the burgalary/robbery which had transpired for the gun to be stolen. The point of why I’m pointing it out is because in this clip, this young man is literally running for his LIFE. and now his life is gone, and the flip side was playing let’s see how many years in jail I’m going to get, he could’ve ended up being just like the 17 year old kid I knew but instead he panicked and did what any human thinking to themself, damn this might be the end of my life literally. So what if he could’ve surrendered if they would’ve turned around and locked him up for the whole entire rest of his life, why? Because he’s a black man in Chicago standing on a street and therefore he must be chased without brandishing a weapon, all throughout a property just to try to do what? Yes explain to me again how this was justified and I’ll try to justify it to you when I see you minding your business and decide hey todays the day your life ends.
