After watching Ben and hearing why he went to the pause... It transformed my game. Got rid of my transition yips and I've never struck the ball this solid. He's a good guy as well. Great video. Wesley is awesome.
Hey Ben - I've been pausing my back swing for about 3 years. My handicap has improved from 14 to 5.4. I had used it as a training exercise down the range as my natural back swing was very laid off. I used to set my swing to the top of the back swing and and hit from there. It worked perfect on the range.. I could never get the club up on the course.. I became so frustrated one day I tried it setting the club to the top of the back swing on the course and started to flush all my clubs. I haven't looked back since and playing the best golf of my life... Set Pause Fire....All the best from the UK..
I changed my swing and added a pause maybe 6 months ago after couple of bad rounds. Since then, my acne is gone, my dad said he's proud of me, ran a 4bmin mile without cleats and my handicap went from a 36 to 18. Thanks Ben!

Everyone on TH-cam just wants Wesley to find a smooth transition with his driver and hit balls in play during tournaments. He’s a top 50 player with a ball in play off the tee. lol
That's offensive how good Wes is with a MAJOR swing change like that. I think being the trick shot kings for so long instills some crazy fundamentals where he's just used to doing weird things with the golf swing and getting it back to square each time.

The most important part (and hardest at first) to make the pause work is down at the ground. You have to pause the weight shift. You have to stand on your right foot in sequence with your upper pause. If you want to learn this (I did it), the best way to start is practice with no backswing (Imagine Ohtani at bat). Pose like a baseball batter, hands and club at the top (maybe at 80-90% position), weight like it would be at end of normal backswing. STand there for a while. gently drop the hands into the slot while doing slight "sit" move. AFter that, just go through the ball normally.
If you're going to pause it's not enough to just delay the swing. You have to relax at the top of the swing and let all the tension drain out of your muscles before letting the club drop.

I am so flabbergasted about the way Wes is playing chips. Somehow my brain doesn't compute it. Takes the club pretty far back, even on 5-10 meter chips, then indiscernibly wiggles his wrists a little, decelerates the club 🤪🤯and comes up with magic. Wtf ?
You're 100% correct my man. When I am teaching a client I ALWAYS speak about how deceleration on ANY golf shot, including putts, is a death sentence... However, ever since seeing Wes years back on YT, I started to add the caveat of: "Unless you are Wesley Bryan and can somehow magically hit pure wedge shots with tons of decel!" Lol 😂

Hey Wesley. I know you’re a very busy man but I’m reaching out because I want to pick your brain about you swing and setup. I’ve been struggling trying to find golfers that have a similar setup to mine, and noticed that in the Bryan Bros video you set up to your ball out on the heel (Sahith does as well). I do the same, because I ran into a severe case of the shanks and always thought that maybe it was something that was just a temporary fix to the problem. But seeing you and him both set up this way gives me confidence again. Is this something that is just comfortable to you as a golfer and you have just grown to adapt your swing to it, or is it something that you would like to change in the future? I’ve been beating myself up about this thinking I would never be successful but I am hopeful now after seeing you play this way!

I have had the pause happen unintentionally before, and had great results. I think for me it helped me from accelerating to soon in the downswing.
The pause helped your tee game for sure Wes. It looked like your tempo though impact was more consistent
