  • in this video i explained Why #SMPS Fluctuates / Reasons for SMPS #Fluctuation Switch Mode Power Supply. in this tutorial i explained functional description of switch mode power supply, what is fluctuation in output voltage. it happens when there is feedback missing or some failure in feedback loop,
    if vcc voltage are out of specified limit then the ic may drive in Over Load Protection OLP mode, or it may go in under voltage lockout UVLO, in OLP or UVLO condition the ic will disconnect the drive signal.
    whenever there is some overload condition which will cause to draw over current from the converter but in that situation the smps controller will reach at maximum duty cycle value and the vcc pin will reach at OLP (overload protection) so the output will remain disconnected until the vcc pin will decrease at its UVLO value.
    How to repair switch mode power supply SMPS VERY EASY practical troubleshooting۔ i explained practical How to repair switch mode power supply SMPS very easy. i shared my easiest and perfect troubleshooting techniques practical troubleshooting. smps concept and troubleshooting repairing or understanding repair switching mode power supply basics and working principle. also i discussed smps basics. after watching this video you can capable to:-
    how to repair smps
    how to repair switch mode power supply when output voltage are unstable or unregulated. in this condition the output voltage value moves beyond the load regulation or input regulation tolerance.
    if SMPS is dead or no ouput
    if SMPS have fluctuating output or output voltage unregulated
    if smps have short circuit in output
    how to eliminate short circuit
    how to troubleshoot PWM SMPS controller when there is no switching from MOSFET
    if SMPS have a whistle sound or excessive noise or excessive heat
    how to repair mobile charger

      What causes some delay in output voltage. Like output cap taking some time to start giving fix voltage. Please help me🙏

    • @chazlabreck
      @chazlabreck 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ganesh3205 That would indicate the oscillation is not fully comming in stable or in a proper square wave.. If the pulse modulation from the mosfet (high side) is distorted it could cause the output caps to slowly charge up and if connected to any load might not stay running.. I would check any of the small capacitors around the regulation IC and high side of the transformer..
      Usual a small cap 1mf to 2.2 or even 4.7 capacitor (several may be there need changing) it helps start and run the oscillator IC,, this IC will turn on and off the driver mosfet.. So main power from AC that is turned to DC by the big voltage capacitor from the line input goes to one side of the transformer then mosfet then is used to ground one side of the primary with the output of the timming regulation IC driving it's gate ... there is a feedback loop from the optocupler that changes the pulse width of the ic to regulate the voltage..
      But check into the capacitors in the input... All caps (electrolytic) might be suspect though, even in output..a bad cap there can load down the supply and make it struggle to keep up..

      @@chazlabreck Thanks a lot for sharing the valuable knowledge and time😊

    • @chazlabreck
      @chazlabreck 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ganesh3205 Absolutely you are welcome...watch this video he really does do a great explanation...but like I said many times these supplys are simple to understand and capacitors in these circuits are under strain and often go bad...electrolytic capacitors are prone to self destruct after some time...chemical breakdowns can be slow and not fail tottaly but get worse and worse and this is why we see odd behaving from these type of power supply..they work in a feedback loop...one thing fails and the whole thing won't work..so it's tricky to trace.. One component bad it won't start up...one component a little bad and it will behave strange..
      I wish you good luck in finding the solution...

    sorry sir, I want to ask. i am trying to repair psu atx with active pfc. the problem is when it is turned on it sounds like a ticking sound tick tick tick (ticking noise), when I check the voltage on the main capacitor (2×150uf 450v) fluctuates, the range is 380-400vdc. but the output is normal and stable. What are the components that I need to check? what causes ticking noise, with the voltage on the primary fluctuate?

    I have a similar PSU that is rated to output +/-12V. When unloaded, the output terminal has +/-15V.
    When loaded with a PCB board, the output jumps to +/-19V.
    I purchased a 10 ohm 3 w resistor. When I load it on the +5V rail, the +/-12V rail jumps to ~ +/-26V. Any idea what type of issue this is?

    Sd6834 no output, voltage fluctuates at the VCC point 12v-14v, no short circuit found, still trying to find the fault.

    hi boss, can you give us full information about vcc voltage, where do we need to check when vcc is not available, where does vcc voltage come from, what is vcc voltage? pls pls pls

    What causes some delay in output voltage. Like output cap taking some time to start giving fix voltage.
    Please share you valuable knowledge here🙏

    Hello sir uc3843 ic ke pin 1 comparator pin low hone per output pwm off ho jata lekin circuit mein to optocoupler positive reference 5volt se connected hai to ic ka pwm kaise off hoga matlab optocoupler on hone per to pin 1 mein 5 volt aayega to wo ic ka pwm kaise oof hoga

      basically optocoupler aik varying signal deta he jo k depend karta he secondary side variation per
      is feedback control system ki calculation depend karti he k aap kis type compensation use karty hein
      normally type 2 compensation use ki jaati he
      error amplifier ki pin per kabhi bhi aap ko voltage nahi milien ge k ye sink current per kaam karta he
      mein try karoon ga k error amplifier per detail se discuss karoon
