    Awesome videos of the flooding (esp the 2nd part). Totally admire your courage and driving skills. Beautiful memories though of my 1st trip to this area end of September this year (slightly less rain then). Be safe.

    Thanks for uploading this.

    Is there any local forum where I can get updates of roads flooded, etc?

    They would drive by as you tried to speak. Excellent coverage of the weather situation R.
    I've not been out so had no idea how bad it is. Your motor will be clean as a whistle underneath after that trip!
    Great autumn colours. Scuba diving is out for now then.
    That is extreme flooding down there R. Not seen it that bad. What an idiot white 4x wheel driver that is!

    Loved both your vids👍
    I am from Cumbria, i live in Dearham 3 miles out from Cockermouth, me and 2 mates (they rode up from Yorkshire) we were all on Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles and camped out on sykeside camping site just below the kirkstone pass from the 29th-31st oct 2021, i was supposed to meet them at pooley bridge (via the A592) , but it was impassable according to peeps who turned around, but that was the only flooded bit of road from there through to kirkstone pass that was impassable at the time, the weather was atrocious with torrential rain, but we still camped out and the weather cleared up on the 29th 😁👍
    I know you drove the roads on the 28th and they were horrendous conditions..the storm hit on the 27/28th but by the 29th the roads were basically flood free apart from the odd deep puddles on the road we rode through on the friday from the A5091 then the A592 through Glenridding to Kirkstone 😉
    those 2 vids you posted really show how we in Cumbria suffer when the weather deluges on us..well done! all it takes is 24 hours for the lakes to downsize abit and the roads are passable again with care, but the poor people whose homes and businesses were under water i really feel for 😥

      Hi Munta1967, I think you were brave to camp out in that weather and I see you were riding classic motorcycles that's cool. I always love filming storm footage and being safe when doing it, all the best to you on your travels.

    • @munta1967
      @munta1967 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thx lol..if you let the rain bother you in the UK with riding motorcycles, then dont buy one, i don't let the rain hold my life back as at 54yrs old, I have less adventures in front of me than the enjoyable biking years that have gone by so quickly and are now behind me 🤣
