Quick planty tip! Avoid hanging them near radiators, they won't like the hot dry draughts. If it's unavoidable, just make sure you water them more often to avoid them drying out! Love the room makeover though and the plants do look so cute hanging on the branch! 😍
Totally agree. The gap between the end of the middle shelf and the one below it was really bothering me. I did wonder if Alexandra was going to put a lamp or something taller than the gap in the shelves to fill in the vertical space but without something like that my eye is just drawn to that empty space. Also if the middle shelf were longer his book collection would have space to grow, which is definitely needed if you love books!
Agree, there is wasted space. I think a table next to the bed would be more practical than the curved bookshelf, so a glass of water and a lamp could be placed there, but the hanging light may be enough.

We stan James! What a fabulous creature. Honestly when I think cottage and grandma I think more white colors, florals, and brass? The thing that I think throws off everything is the bed. The headboard is so sleek and modern, the bedspread is like a dark spot that immediately draws your eyes over to it. With the sleek bed and dark bedding that vibe is easily more modern. I do think it looks 100x better than the mattress on the floor! I also thought it was strange that the bookshelves didn't go all the way to the opposite wall (not the door wall, the other one.) I did like the green though so they all blended in. I'm so glad that you gave him so much storage! I love the under the bed bins and wicker chest. I probably would have painted the wicker chest white though. Maybe I'm being too literal in the translation of his style though. Very cute but even better, very functional!
Yah the wicker chest slightly bugged me too. It felt very in your face. I would have opted for some kind of storage ottoman by the window. Imagine just sitting in front of that window. 100% agree about the headboard. It’s a tad to sleek for an eclectic room. Either way James loved it and that’s all that matters.
