@@fohrum4757 no, this attitude is part of the problem. No matter how good the team is, one loss and the sky is falling. Chill out dude. Sammy was bad, and the defence was lackluster. We scored 5 goals and forced overtime. They were trying.

Fohrum's criticism is warranted. They CAN play tight and structured so when they come out like this it's frustrating.

@@rustyclutch8632 olive oil is likely to separate if you don't fold it in slow enough but it could work, it's a term called Emulsification and separation

After those first 2 goals by St. Louis I said, this game is certainly not over. I thought they responded well.

As for the Kraft Dinner dilemma, I have one word for you: OIL.
(Any type, Canola, Sunflower, Olive…except Coconut. Which tastes like rotting garbage if you put it in eggs or pasta.)

I was lucky enough to get to go to this game. first one since covid (last one i was at was bruins leafs game that the leafs won in OT in december 2019, everyone thought it was marner but i believe the goal went off rielly). despite the loss i had a blast! great time crowd was in it the whole time. bought a Börje patch while i was there. would have liked a win but at least it was exciting.
You're lucky, this is the kind of exciting game you want to go to - other than the shootout half loss.

"Cow goes moo" is now my mantra for my morning mindfulness exercises.
For the KD you could use Mayo or salad dressing as well. Could also just add a little more milk and then some corn starch as a thickener.
Bit of flour and vegetable oil could also do the trick, but go easy on both.

Almost happy they lost in it the SO instead of 3-on-3 because watching that weird 5min skating loop-dee-loop performance fall even flatter on its face would've been real demoralizing.

Grated cheese plus some of the water you used to boil the noodles. The starch from the pasta water will both add to the thickening and help everything stick together
The first match at home (especially the 1st period) after a long sequence on the road is often very difficult. So 1 point in this game is not a bad result considering the horrendous start.

This has to be a top 10 LFR looking back now. Probably one of the best EP's to show anyone watching for the first time. There are better more entertaining EP's but this has EVERYTHING save for VICTORY PUPPIES

Next time you don't have butter or margarine, try making a roux in a sauce pan by cooking equal parts oil and flour, and then turn that into a béchamel by adding some milk. It'll be substantially thicker and richer than the methods you listed.
18:50 Plain yogurt does really well, used in place of both butter and milk. Other options would include a splash of white wine, cream, and then stirring in a raw whole egg and adding some Parmesan cheese at the end of cooking. Basically it’s the cream sauce for a carbonara.

Where I live, it's pretty common to eat some sort of pasta, and then sour cream, and then small fried cubes of bacon.
You should give it a try.
Olive oil and salt are possibilities as well - the butter is mainly there for salt and oil to keep the pasta from clumping...
I always use butter and coffee cream (10%) when making KD. My wife even shreds some cracker barrel cheese and sprinkles it on top and it melts in... Yummy! But nothing is better than her home made Mac & Cheese using real cheese (not that package of cheese powder) with the bigger elbow noodles baked in the oven.
3 on 3 is a little more of a all star game thing. It is fun to occasionally see, but you don't want to see it to much.
As far as the KD thing, if you ever run out of milk…don’t ever substitute it with almond milk!! You will need therapy after that.
My go to for "we're out of butter, what do I do?" is creamy ceasar dressing. Thicker than cream, and adds a different flavor to it. Add in the shredded cheese and problem solved.

Also the correct answer for the kd is to take it off the burner early( al dente), use extra milk and the cheese packet,put it back on the burner on low stirring constantly. The milk will reduce into creamy awesomeness and the noodles won't be overcooked.

Kraft Dinner thickness: Bring a can of tomato soup to a simmer. Boil the noodles in the soup. Add the cheese powder; do not add the milk. Garnish with cilantro.

I'm willing to let this slide as you're justifiably emotional after a frustrating loss. As a Wings fan I know how that feels, we've been bad ON ACCIDENT (the worst kind of bad) for the better part of a decade.

Blues fan here... you have been making these videos... as long as ive been in the field of my CAREER. Was a very entertaining game. I didnt expect us to win let alone it to be that back and forth. I swear the shots some of your guys have are just... silly good. We heard Vova and RoR being out and figured we were gonna be toast too. Im still on the Levio hype train tbh. For the Kraft Dinner, always keep some Garlic Aioli in the fridge for just such an emergency.
Corn Starch/Milk in pinch will replicate the thickness of butter, add an egg yolk for the creaminess for a really janky liason.
Instead of sour cream, what about mayo as a butter/margarine substitute? You get thickening, you get some oil to emulsify with the cheese powder.... It could work in a pinch

Anyone that thinks to tell you "calm down" clearly doesn't know what you're all about and what this team has put actual fans of them through. I'm not even primarily a Leafs fan and I know that this team does not deserve the benefit of the doubt until they win a playoff round, probably two. When they have bad starts against teams they should beat, it's absolutely cause for concern.
For Mac and Cheese, I just add milk but I use the President's Choice White cheddar as it has a good taste and creaminess to it. I also add a ton of pepper and a little bit of sea salt and it has nice flavour with some kick to it. I don't use butter and margarine for my mac and cheese anymore.
The correct answer to the Kraft Dinner question is to mix in a spoonful of Kraft Cheez Whiz. It gives you the creaminess and cheesiness that you so desire. And yes, the Cheez Whiz adds personality!

Does anyone else get a burning sensation in their chest and a tingling feeling on the top of their head while they watch the Leafs? Maybe a twitch in their eye lid? Am I the only one?
If you have some lemon juice or vinegar toss a tablespoon or two into a half cup of milk to create buttermilk. Let it rest for 10-20 mins stirring occasionally. You’ll have a nice thick milk to use with your KD 🙂

A team that has to rely on a performance to get a power play to make it to OT is not primed for playoff success :/
If you have heavy cream, use it in place of both the butter and the milk and you'll end up in roughly the same place. Butter + milk is a great substitute for heavy cream since you essentially use the butter to spike the fat% of the milk.
You were spot on with the coffee creamer BUT if you add a little extra and keep it on the burner it’ll reduce and thicken up nicely!
