Thanks for this interview. Respect for this beautiful lady who explains something that's not really to explain. But she can express her experiences in a way that you know what she means. And she let me cry. What a blessing.
I remember seeing this 1987 Don Giovanni when it was first televised by PBS in the US. I put it on VHS from the TV, and it is the opera I have seen most frequently. The combination of Mozart and von Karajan cannot be commented on-words fail me. And both Anna Sintow and Karajan did the Ultimate recording of the Requiem, which I have on CD. There was a re-do of Don Giovanni with the same duo Samuel Ramey and Furlanetto, with new sets by Zeffirelli- but it wasn't the same. Karajan and the magic were gone.

Can't understand the bizarre deutsche accent .
IT is not a German accent - it is a Bulgarian accent. I can understand her perfectly. Try subtitles!!
@@Yves_Ka You Right !! That's why the strange sound . Thanks .
@@arielbarrales5900 Yes - I agree - it is maybe strange. Her Strauss always sounded very idiomatic though
