Operates the same as the regular game except you're now the WHO or a scientist/politician or something and more than half your job is convincing people to take this seriously and making sure people don't get so pissed off at you that they outright disobey your orders--this can happen if you impose quarantines that are too strict or go on for too long. Even has its own anti-maskers, anti-vaxers, and fake news media spreading lies about covid, and some of them are politicians because the first objective you have to do is hold a meeting with all the world's leaders to convince them of the severity of the situation so they actually take your orders seriously. And even then they will ignore you

Madagascar is not as bad since there are more ships that go to it, the Caribbean too. Greenland is the massive issue because it does not have a many ports that connect to it and it has a really low population density so it takes it longer to flood once you get those critical first few infections.
I don't know how he did so good at the Nano-Virus one but sucked at Parasite. I can never infect more than 60% of the world with Nano-Virus on easy, but beat Parasite on normal and I play it for fun along with Fungi and Prion. Maybe it's because my style of play is hide and infect everyone, then slam all my points into Organ Failure and Insanity after 100% infection on the world.
@@bret7894 bruh , i did the same but for parasite it was quite hilarous since i didn't had any DNA modifications and i went super stealth mode till i could develop deadly symptoms , and i was there waiting 4 years in-game (probably some minutes if not an hour irl) popping the yellow DNA bubbles till i had enough DNA to upgrade to organ failure , and what is funnier is that the cure was developted but i just upgraded organ failure and set it back instantly , killed lot of people and won , like i don't even know how i could replicate it if i had to do that again lol
It is the easy way, but not the fast way...and also it's a bad strategy to lean into if you ever play on a difficulty higher than normal, as is required for the android/ios versions if you don't plan on paying to unlock a lot of things.
A tip for the run, at the start you got water transmission but because you're starting in an arid country you want air infection for faster spread in your starting country. Then the once you start buying symptoms you can also easily get water.

Annihilate gene is not good for bioweapon speedrunning because it kills way too fast so you will often lose the game if you unlock it too early. If you wait until most of the population are infected than unlock annihilate gene it is just too slow (my best run with this is ~220 days ) And if speedrun with no annihilate gene, you can upgrade dysentery + necrosis to infect and kill at the same time, then use total organ failure to kill the rest. If you play it correctly you can get under 200 days. Don’t know why I’ve gotten so serious 10 months after this comment but this is it lol
Can we appreciate how realistic this game is? I mean, the spreading patterns are very similar to covid. Even the difficulty to infect an exact country is similar to reality...
@@onlygameplay134 Yeah it's actually pretty neat, I've been playing this game for several years and when covid started to spread I just kept thinking about plague inc strats when trying to gauge the situation. And then they released a version of the game in the middle of the pandemic where you as a world leader try to save the world from a deadly virus instead of kill it, and imo it's both very realistic and so much harder than the og game. I still haven't beaten it yet. Keep getting things like "antimaskers are rioting in the streets, infection rates increased" or "fake news spreads that the vaccine has a tracker in it--people resisting vaccination efforts." You can tell they definitely used the pandemic as inspiration for the research in this new version of the game.
i mean yeah, the diseases spread from air and seaports, but a pathogen doesn't evolve species-wide like in the game. so the primary gameplay mechanic is contrary to how life works, and thus you'd never have a disease wipe out the entirety of humanity via evolving to spread then kill
Some stuff aren't realistic tho, like Germany annexing Netherlands and Denmark, The Palawan island is gone from Philippines, Malaysia is annexed by Indonesia, etc

Nah, God in the middle of his virus run. He would've had an easier time if he picked fungus, since he could've just sporebursted everywhere and get lethality maximum at around the 200 day mark. Would've still had cure at a breakneck close completion rate, but he would've completed the run.
I once played this game with my brother. I was very young back then so almost anything made us laugh. We made a choice that made us laugh for many days. It was the name that we gave it… It was meant to be a little joke, but then the notifications came screaming “My butt is spreading across the world” and “My butt has killed thousands of people” Those may not be the exact words, but it’s been a long time since I’ve last played this game.
Tips: You can devolve symptoms. If the game tells you your plague mutated and don't want to get discorvered, is too serious or too lethal you can devolve. Depending on the pathogen it can cost or recover dna points. Regarding the parasite. I noticed that if you develop the parasite symbiosis path to the end, it lowers severity so much you can develop very infectious non-lethal symptoms without getting detected, becoming a very easy run. Note that I only played Plague inc Evolved and I am not sure if there are any significant differences.
I played this game last year March 13th. I was just having fun, and even named it CORONA, but boi they did a lockdown on all countries the day after and I blamed myself for setting what was going to be the biggest event in the world lmao
so there is a game very similar to this my brother plays and his strategy is to make sure that all the plagues imunities are max and it travels really easily, wait for everyone to get infected without them knowing then make it dangerous and kill them all symotaniously

as someone who normally plays plague inc on mega brutal, this is really interesting to watch. I recall the "don't get lethal until you've infected most of the world" strategy from my pre-megabrutal days (on mega brutal you get noticed before too long no matter what you do so there's no way to stop the countries from responding to you, you gotta keep ahead of them) but honestly it's strange to see how little you have to worry about burning yourself out of a country. On mega brutal infectivity is reduced so you've really got to balance lethality with infectivity or you may kill off all your hosts faster than you can infect new ones, and end up leaving a country uninfected. It's honestly kinda surprising how irrelevant that problem is on casual.

Tips: You can devolve symptoms. If the game tells you your plague mutated and don't want to get discorvered, is too serious or too lethal you can devolve. Depending on the pathogen it can cost or recover dna points.
Regarding the parasite. I noticed that if you develop the parasite symbiosis path to the end, it lowers severity so much you can develop very infectious non-lethal symptoms without getting detected, becoming a very easy run.
Note that I only played Plague inc Evolved and I am not sure if there are any significant differences.

as someone who normally plays plague inc on mega brutal, this is really interesting to watch. I recall the "don't get lethal until you've infected most of the world" strategy from my pre-megabrutal days (on mega brutal you get noticed before too long no matter what you do so there's no way to stop the countries from responding to you, you gotta keep ahead of them) but honestly it's strange to see how little you have to worry about burning yourself out of a country. On mega brutal infectivity is reduced so you've really got to balance lethality with infectivity or you may kill off all your hosts faster than you can infect new ones, and end up leaving a country uninfected. It's honestly kinda surprising how irrelevant that problem is on casual.
