  • Off the coast of Bunbury W.A. out for a quick morning drift in shallow (16m) chasing a little feed of Dhuies. Double hookup came right on bite time drifting over a small lump, chaos as lines got tangled...
Little Tuna were busting up everywhere, happens pretty much every October in close off the south coast. Great fun on light tackle and sight casting into bait balls. Took enough for a feed before heading home. Great little morning session.
    Cheers for watching Team.

Yeah not many times you can call it off the sounder and catch exactly that! Get lucky every now and then!

Try launching off the Huts area mate. Lots of goo broken ground down there. Paddle out to 8+ meters and you can get a good assortment of fish.

OldMate Adventures cheers mate, I’ll give it ago. Been out that way with the Yak a couple of times but only made it to 6mtrs, been salmon fishing off Bunkers Bay in 11mtrs and in 6mtrs at Hamlin Bay. It’s a bit of a stress in the 2.7m Yak 😂😂

In the southwest head to Whiteys tackle in Treendale. 12-15kg rod i find works well as a all-arounder and i just use penn spinfisher reel. Great bang for buck and easy to maintain.

I guess the 2 nice Dui’s that were on the Lena last week are now gone.....you do realise it’s a no fishing zone....

Haha, why do you assume i'm fishing on the Lena wreck? I scuba too mate so ease up.

also if you had read the comments below i was in 16m, Lena is in 18m. Plus if your software is good enough your more than welcome to zoom onto the shot of my gps just before i hookup and see exactly where we are fishing mate.

If you scuba you would know the bottom of Lena isn't 18 anymore, years of storms and sediment has changed that.........also the wreckage around shows 16 on a depth finder we cleared the wreck of anchors weeks ago and this weekend Perth Scuba retrieved 3 more and stacks more hooks, jigs and sinkers.........if you were not on top you were pretty close........would love to see the gps path on that drift.

Your more than welcome to pop around and have a look at my gps and see my trail from Saturday, to put your mind at ease buddy! I'm well aware you can't fish near the Lena, my gps says that area is 18m. I'll bet you a dive tank i was more than 2.85km away...I need a spare tank. haha. Oh and has to be Faber and 15litre. cheers.

Go hooka mate and never look back..........I honestly dont understand why people fish on the Lena or Swan.......whole bluddy ocean out there plus the artificial reef should start to produce some fish.
