Bible has to many contradictions
Can you please respond to me 700 club. I have begun a conversation with someone who is trying to explain to me how the mind can create hallucinations during near death experiences based on culture. I have grown up and I was raised with christian faith but I very depressed right now in my life and I am scared because of the things I am hearing and seeing about what science has to say about the universe and supposed proof of the human brain and I'm very scared. Please someone reach out to me.

I suffer from severe ocd ok so I doubt everything u cant be scared if u think your losjng your religion u have to stay positive. There is a creator thats a fact. Do urself a favor dont give into religion because the bible is manmade even if I belejve its gods book it was still written by men. U have to question everything when u have a real desire for truth u will find it but I have to keep an open mjnd. Ive had nde and I was hallucinating but it was a heavenly one I cant begin to type it but just know we have a sixth sense so use it. Picture god and a source of energy and u r a battery that needs to be charged so connect. And PS. I dont think Jesus will be mad if u question whether hes real if he is then he's not god

It is so awesome to even think about. We are, and we have a good God. It sometimes makes me feel as though I'm falling when I really think deeply about it. Like WOW!!!! Some day we are going to meet this God face to face. And even as good as the love of a mother and father here can be, it in no way compares to what's to come.

@Michael Spencer .....I'm so sorry , my friend. It is difficult to lose our pets. They are our family members . Maybe your dog had a heart problem that was unknown. I pray that God gives you peace , and you are dealing with Ok. I believe that animals go to Heaven . Why wouldn't they? God loves the creatures that he created too. Maybe one day you will have enough love to give another "new" family member. There are many in shelters longing for a family to love , that will love them in return. ❤😊🐺🐱

I had to have a breast biopsy and I was incredibly terrified. I sat in my room, cried, and prayed to the Lord to forgive me of my sins and to save me. To let me watch my baby grow up and to let me grow old with my husband. I felt such an overwhelming feeling of peace all over my body. It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Indescribable. God is so good.
That God isn’t is amazing I was in tears a couple nights ago cause I felt like I let God down I was hardcore crying and is just felt peace out of no where I just literally stoped crying didn’t even know what I was crying for anymore

Me, too. I prayed one day thinking that God doesnt hear my prayers. And I had an amazing dream of heaven and hell! It was almost like Scrooge a Chrismas Carol! But I seen Jesus riding on a horse looking like a bright sun andthen I seen his feet and he reassuredme that everything was going to be ok. At that time I was having alot of nightmares of demons every night. I woke up the next morning with the most incredible peace and love that I have ever felt in my life! And that wasnt the first or last of my spiritual dreams. I just had another one 2 nights ago about a demon who wouldnt let me go. I woke up out ofmy dream screaming Jesus! God bless You Lord for your mercy!
@Douglas Davis - That's not only untrue it's a rather ridiculous statement. There are plenty of places in this nation that are so haunted that if we locked you in them you'd be crying and begging to be let out. (and it has been documented on film and audio, as well as inexplicable NDE accounts of people who reported conversations word for word about them while they were "dead") I have had more paranormal experiences than you have had free lunches, including a 30 pound tool box vanishing for 4 months and then re-appearing suddenly in the same room with me. (In a spot it was not sitting a moment before)
But your problem is not documentation. It's arrogance. You are the typical atheist - that means you absolutely believe in God. The problem is you hate him. For whatever reason he pissed you off, didn't give you what you felt you deserved, didn't make the universe the way YOU would have... whatever... and you are going to make him pay the only way you can - by turning as many people against him as you can. Who wastes the time and effort they do arguing about something they claim they don't believe in? As I told this guy, I don't argue about the Easter Bunny with 6 year olds. In 2005 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I found myself before my operation to have a mastectomy praying to God. In my despair as I had no idea if the cancer had spread into my lymph nodes, Jesus's spoke. It was like he was in my mind reassuring me everything is going to be alright. He was right, I have been cancer free since I was 43, at 45 I had a baby. He is now 15 starting his first job. I thank Jesus everyday and the blessing are endless. 💗
A priest came to my church about two years ago and was doing an anointing of the sick. While I wasn’t sick my mom had been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and my mom wanted us to go up with her and get a blessing, so I waddled my way up to the front of the church with me my mom and my sister. every thing was going fine until all of us just started crying. I was trying to hold back the tears but I just couldn’t help it. About 15 seconds later we were up next and I look into the priests eyes and I saw... Jesus. I don’t know how to describe it but I felt nothing but love and joy and just and looking into his eyes you could see all the stars in the sky. From that day on I have always know Jesus loves me and every one unconditionally.

We are all going to the light, hell is something the church invented ( im sure you can guess why) the church decided what parts were to be in the Bible and left out a lot. Also a lot of what’s In the Old Testament is really messed up. God isn’t a person, he exists outside of time and matter and we are all fractions of God. A loving God wouldn’t throw his children in an oven.
If you relate ndes to Jesus you are blasphemous. Jesus never talked about these kind of things. Neither Muhammad nor Budha no one. It seems either they were correct and the ndes are just hallucinations, or if ndes are correct then no religion is only correct religion. And certainly a God who punishes just for not belonging to his sect without giving the person a definite proof of Himself can't just be a just God.

I was shot in 2003, I died in the hospital. I looked behind me and what I saw was just a dark shadow. I felt nothing but depression and unhappiness and sadness and misery. Hades is pathway to hell. Be careful what you pray for 😄 so true. I was hooked on alcohol all my life, I tried to give it up many times but I couldn't do it. So one night I woke up my wife and I prayed with her asking God to force me give up drinking. The very next evening I became ill and couldn't drink anymore. It's already six months I'm alcohol free because I'm undergoing detox and recovering. Prayer really are answered if prayed with sincerity. Hallelujah but yes be careful what you pray for, sometimes answered prayers are difficult to handle requiring lots of strength but Jesus knows what is best.

I'm almost 2 years myself, it's good to see someone else doing the right thing. Where I'm from I am the only person I know that doesn't drink. The first 6 months were hell for me, it's gotten easier since then. Keep up the good work!

Sometimes it become difficult to remain the only person sober with everyone around you drinking, but let's not give up, it don't matter if we lose these friends because our family is much happier with us sober. That's the kind of wife that any man would be extremely blessed to have. She loved Jim yes but even more so she loved His soul and prayed that the Father would have mercy on Him and save Him and she stayed faithful to our Lord in prayer for Jim's sake.
She prayed with love and belief in the transformative power that is God's love....a true believer knows and understands that we all think we don't need Him, until the overwhelming reality of what sin is overcomes us....then He is there with love in His eyes, and forgiveness on His lips.

I have been researching NDE’s since the 1980’s and continue to do so. I’ve not personally experienced one but have been incredibly drawn to the subject. This testimonial is by far one of my most favourites! It’s beautiful... 🙏🏻

His story touches me deeply. I was an atheist up until a bad experience, and like Jim I thought I was dying. And suddenly the scariest thought was my denial of God and feeling so ashamed. I begged for forgiveness. I still stumble and slip. But never has my belief of God and his love for us. Hey I have a similar experience just like you. I've always been the smart kid when I was young and kinda known to be one of those prideful intellectuals that are so hard to be around lol I was a strict atheist for the first 25ish years of my life. Longer even. Only recently have I finally tried reading the Bible. And it started with a deep desire for something that was missing, a secret of sorts that I saw symbolism of everywhere in life. There just had to be something magical in life and I could never find it and am far too much of a skeptic to believe in most things. But I decided to read the Bible and it's been great. It's like I found what I was looking for inside of it. And it all just feels true. I've always been so analytical but my gut feeling is just so strong sometimes about the Bible. I remember what it was like as a kid and I felt God did exist. And I grew older and got dull and hateful. And I'm still struggling with it. To be 100% honest with myself since the Lord knows my heart anyway. I've been asking for a sign. I just want to have even a dream or something. I do believe. And I offer my heart and soul to Jesus. But there's just this little nagging thing in the back of my head that I can't get rid of. I need a personal experience. I feel like I know what it feels like to have the overwhelming peace of belief in God. It has made me much calmer. But my heart is still not 100% because my mind fights it. I'm trying to let go. I just want to talk to him.

I’m so happy for you that he saved you and makes me cry hearing such a story. You and your family truly blessed. I had Guillian-Barre 20 years ago. I wish I had gotten to see Jesus as well. Very tough time after just having a baby 8 weeks prior. As of a year ago I’m now a believer after having a different kind of experience. As I watched my younger brother take his last breath Jesus blessed me with the spirit of him hitting me knocking the air out of me with a bright white beam then a whooshing sound and watching him leave my body and going up to heaven. It was incredible and I thank and love Jesus every day. He is real and can’t wait to meet him. He has a plan for all of us.
My brother recently passed away and my niece took his death very hard since they were so close she being his 'favorite' niece and all. One morning as she was preparing for the day, she said she heard his voice just as clear as day. He called out to her and greeted her with that usual joyful voice. Since then she's been okay and so have we all when she gave us the news. God is so good and gracious, He cares about His people.

One of my friends passed in suicide.
I wasn’t the closest with her but she was a great friend, and yet it had been around 1 year since she passed and I was struggling in life with personal issues.
I dreamt the most beautiful dream for what seemed like I was there for hours. It went to this place for what I see now as to be Heaven. Nothing can describe or put into words how beautiful this place was. The trees and tall grass were golden and swished with the wind, the sounds the wind made was almost a angelic ambient sound. I have never seen nature so beautiful. And there she was sitting on a beautiful stone bench. And the sun shown, like I had never seen the sun show before. Her voice echoed in that place greeting me. I asked her “why did you do it? Why?” And she said “I am okay.” She laughed and it echoed so beautifully. Somehow that brought me peace and the beautiful meadow nature I saw faded. I cry thinking about it. when I awoke I sat up immediately from my bed in the morning and gasped for air like I was suffocating. I had to soak in what I had just been through. Somehow I felt more at peace than I never had before. this is the most vivid dream I had ever encountered to this day. Like it wasn’t a dream at all.
If that man wasn’t telling the truth he deserves an Oscar. One of the most convincing and heartwarming testimonies I’ve seen. We should never be obsessed with money and material things.

It is very poerful but what if you where orphaned and died of starvation in the Khayelitsha slum? Khayelitsha is a slum in Cape Town South Africa with a population of 400 000!!! Half of that 400 000 population is under the age of 19!
@@rudy103069 Judgement is not cut and dry. Judgement is an immensely complicated thing the likes of which only God can do without bias. While He obviously had a reason for asking Jim this question (in order for us to know what He will ask), others may be welcomed differently and with much more grace. See Luke 12:47-48

Nearly brought me to tears. I’m genuinely scared for what will come after death. I love God and Jesus but sometimes I’m worried that I won’t see them.
Don't worry, you will see them as long as you truly believe. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will be saved!

@Valerie Konstantos I am searching for spiritual knowledge. I don't understand why Jesus would as Jim what he had done with the life his master (God) had given him. Since Jesus is God, then he is the master and it was he who gave Jim life. Or is that wrong?

LeBeutiful Jackalyn - references to Hell are abundant in the Bible, so you are wrong to say it doesn’t exist. Yes, God loves us but to those who don’t accept Jesus as savior, are doomed to eternal hell, it’s our choice to accept Him wile we are living, once we die, it’s too late so Jesus gives us a whole lifetime to see if we follow Him or not. I pray you will read the Bible, the truth shall set you free & everlasting life if you do choose to do so
@@InnerLuminosity no, we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But Jesus came to save us and dies on the cross for our sins, so if you believe in him you will have everlasting life, if you don't you will go to hell.

Loraine is such a sweetheart. My mom worked with both of them for a while and Jim is like a grandfather to me. I love them so much and Loraine has such a loving spirit. She is so kind and I am so glad I met them.
These stories are so encouraging to the new believers as well as the ones who have professed Christ for many years.
This was on my grandpa’s tv in his room before he died he was watching this he preached at his own church and prayed and believed in god

It is very remarkable that once "Diamond Jim" was very prideful and superior, now as talks about Jesus like a young child who's seeks comfort from his parents. You would think that Jim is what he is, but he was already 61 when he had a change of heart. You can really tell from his voice he is much gentler person. Her wife genuinely loves her and knows what she was praying for. God can do more in a second than what we can do for ourselves in a lifetime.
This is what the Lord wants, for us to be as dependent and obedient to Him, to make sure EVERY single thing we do is aligned in His plan. He can give you everything you need, but He can also take away everything you have. A person who's truly rich and successful is the one who has intimate connection with the Lord.
I knew Jim was telling the truth when he started crying.

I have a great testimony as well, I met my Lord through the Holy Spirit many years ago. I spoke with him in another language and it was the most beautiful moment of my life. God is so good and so gentile. He loves us unconditionally. No one can separate us from the love of God. I praise you Lord.

I just prayed a rosary for my colleague's partner's dad who is at this moment on life support probably 99% brain dead after a recent stroke, they will switch machines off if tests reveal no brain activity. Glory to god ! Prayer is the most powerful tool he has given us. I prayed to god to have a closer relationship with him. To do what he needed. And boy he did! He ride me of a relationship that he didn’t want me to be in. Because his plan is much bigger. I am in a much better head space now and I thank god. I encourage you to pray. This is very powerful.
Jesus is a messiah. His Master is our Lord the Almighty.
Jesus is God. He's not the Father, but He is God the Son (John 1:1, Hebrews 1:8, Titus 2:13, Colossians 2:9, John 8:58).
That is not something Jesus would say. Jesus does not have a master. He is lord/king equal to the Father and Holy spirit. So, this person must have encountered another being from God's kingdom. ..The most important thing is that the story improves our faith and knowing God and learn to watch what we do with our life.
NO JESUS IS THE ONLY MESSIAH NOT A MESSIAH. JESUS IS ALSO PART OF THE HOLY TRINITY, MEANING GOD HIMSELF.

@@Samura2008 ‘Master’ makes more sense if you have a Christian Gnostic understanding of Christ. I think the Gnostics were really onto something based on Jim’s story, and others who’ve had NDEs. Especially the ‘bright light’ part.
The Gnostics believed the true supreme god, the Light, was a being termed, ‘The Monad’, who existed far outside materiality. Gnostics held that Jesus was an ‘emanation’ (oppose to the Son), of the Monad and that he descended to Earth to help guide humanity back to Truth after Yahweh’s, god of the Old Testament’s, great deception.
The Gnostics believed Yahweh, termed the ‘Demiurge’, was a half-formed lesser god. A cruel, ignorant, manipulative and vengeful being, who created material reality in order to trap the light of the Monad(me and you), in physical bodies.
It all sounds very heretical, I know, but based on all the NDEs I’ve listened to , nearly all of them have a distinct Gnostic character that can’t be ignored.

Well, she's gone now from this Earth, and I
would give just about anything to be able

very sorry I upset her! But I know how kids
are - they're so immortal! Death seems to
only happen to other people. They are a real
trip! You can be sure this smarta*s attitude
will disappear!

And most of all , I loved the Lord with all my heart , all my soul , all my mind.

Same way I saw Jesus smiled at me..when I saw him in a room ...pple were lined up in front of him..and I was panicking that he will judge me that I v been a sinner..but all he did was look at me and kept smiling...and I said am going to go back to the world and tell pple to repent and turn to God......
Another time I saw Jesus on the sea ...sitting on a canoe...but the canoe was moving.. And I was ashore ...immediately I saw him..I started shouting and running that Jesus is here ...he's coming home He's coming home...I said that till the canoe fades away
