I was working at the NFB Vancouver office today when I spotted a picture on the wall : Strange Invaders by Cordell Barker. I, like many others, have seen his celebrated The Cat Came Back animated gem, but I've never heard of this. I'm excited, hope its good! And now, if you'll excuse me, it's cartoon time. Hmmm...ok..I have seen this before. O well, at least I'm now subbed to the wonderful NFB channel! This has been a good day!
So what i personally got from this short animation is... the child is like an invaders to a family.. it's weird and really get into parents nerves because its behaviors. It takes commitment and responsible parents to raise a kid. But at the end parents still expect to have a baby and would be so happy waiting for its coming
At first I thought this would be a cool cartoon animation, but to my suprise. It is actually scary, horrifying, morbid. everyone's worst nightmare that haunts you in your dreams and in your reality "RESPONSIBILITIES"
I really wish I could find a full version of this cartoon’s rendition of The Flower Duet. For whatever reason, that version of the song gets to me every time. I think it’s how the singers voices harmonize so well even when she hits the insanely high notes, but even as a kid it made me tear up a bit... 😅
I remember that I watched this short film on Nickelodeon (or CN I don't remember exactly were) when I was a kid, I was so fucking scared that I was searching for this for at least 15 years, I'm from Mexico so I even remember watched it in spanish. I'm so glad that I finnaly find it: it took me I while since everytime I explained to someone the plot of the short film they always thought that I was talking about Courage: The cowardly dog.
Do you remember about a stop motion animation on nickelodeon(at the same time they played Strange Invaders) called "The Butcher"? It was a super dark short movie featuring puppets made out of real animal bones. it was black and white with no voices, only music. Please reply me if you know anything about this short film

Alright, I know that they are very active, but the last escene was uncomfortable. Or maybe I'm just paranoid, I've noticed that Canadians touch on topics that the big studios wouldn't show to the smaller ones.
well I think there is some message in this video to convey. There is already Alien species GREYS on earth and US govt. is hiding this and letting them live on earth in exchange of Alien Technology. As these Aliens species are using our earth equipments to make contact and increase their numbers. Once , they have sufficient resources , they will surely Invade the earth as humans are delicious meat for them. But this video in ending it conveys that we still have time to spot them as they are very few and can easily be overthrown. US Govt. is in greed of Alien technology in exchange of "maintain their existence and provide resources and human for growing their nos.". But they don't know ..higher the intellectual level - higher the ability to deceive or fool. Alien lives are highly intelligent they know better way to fool humans. they are providing their outdated technology but not in detail. As you see , humans have not created even a single UFO till date but sure Aliens have got resources and have become successful in contacting and making better communication from earth to their home plant using Trash Resources of earth and human ( evidence - you will see multiple sighting of UFOs these days "). watch Phil schnider video...who was murdered for disclosing about alien.
