That’s not ok. This type of monkey becomes incredibly possessive, and wants to be number two in the hierarchy of the troup. As he gets older, this will become a problem. He will begin to see mom and the baby as a threat to his position and become aggressive. It’s his nature. It’s not cute.

Wrong. He is at an age where his instinct is to be as high in the hierarchy of his troup, which in this case is his adoptive family, as possible. He views dad as the alpha, and he wants to be number two at all costs. As he gets older he will become more and more possessive and begin to view anyone who isn’t dad as a threat to his position. It isn’t cute or loving, it’s possessive and jealous.
