so you have heard them all? I doubt it. His delivery is too slow, but ironically he has no idea about inflection and pauses, especially at the nd of a sentence. Like so many on here, just rushes into the next sentence without taking a breath.
Thank you Paul. I like your videos because I like historic crime and your voice is very calming. Weird, but i feel like you're reading me a bedtime story.
Just found this channel. I'm loving it. Thank you!! Have you covered the Great Boston Molasses Flood yet. It's one of my favorite "Well I Never" events.
Mr. Brodie, I would like to make a video request if you please. I recently read about the murder of the actor William Terris by fellow actor Richard Prince, who was jealous of him. It happened in the 19th century. It's quite an interesting story. I have not found any good videos about the story and I think you would tell it to perfection. I hope you like this idea I love your channel. Much love from Brazil 🇧🇷❤️
Thank you for this channel. I love the way you explain in detail each case, drawing the listener in to what can only be described as enthralling. Will be tuning in again next time from my home in the mid north of South Australia 🇦🇺
I truly appreciate you and all the work you do to make these videos. They have been my go to videos and I know they aren't easy to make. (I don't even try)
Paul, ty…I love these long sessions, I do landscapes in acrylics, and I listen to you I enjoy painting but I love it even more listening to you, I really liked this one, nice and long, I think the longer the compilations the better, pls keep it up, ty for all your hardwork, 😊love it.
Thank you for a well-researched and highly entertaining 2 hours of historical true crime! The story about the airman ripper, Cummins, made me wonder if the first season of the Bletchley Circle series was perhaps loosely based on his terrible crimes.
Hey Paul. I really enjoy the videos you show in "Well I Never." Do you have any stories about Jack The Ripper? And, or, about the suspect, who I personally think was Jack the Ripper, the polish Barber, I don't know how to spell his name. Would really love to see a episode about that. BTW, you do an Excellent job at narrating the videos. Love your voice. Thanks for your channel.
Referring to the 'Babes in the Wood', case. That doctor who revealed that a patient of his had 'died of a guilty conscience', was just plain cruel in refusing to release the full alleged confession to the children's parents or the police. Not to mention, highly irresponsible
It makes one wonder if he was the perpetrator... If it was not to help solve the case, why say anything about a 'confession' unless to redirect attention.
Re: Babes in the Woods. When a child is abducted there is always great sympathy for the parents and grandparents, but you rarely hear about the trauma that surviving siblings experience in a situation like that. It must be awful. Thankfully most of us have never experienced that but it means even MH counselors may have trouble helping someone who has. There was a strange case in the United States of two brothers. Stephen and Cary Stayner. One of them was kidnapped and held for several years before being released. The other grew up and committed several murders as an adult.
You are part of my TH-cam Channel umbrella. I have a few terrific channels that create a wonderful, well-crafted, intelligent canopy over my head to shelter me from the insanity of life that so often rains down upon us all. Good on ya'!!💖💖
A great video as always! Full of compelling content, well-told. Thank you! However, I can't get behind Frederick Deaming as Jack the Ripper...the Ripper was known to have surgically eviscerated his victims and, frequently, taken their kidneys (often leaving ill-spelled notes to the effect that he planned to cook & eat them--ew!). Deaming's modus is similar, but many murderers cut their victims' throats. Very few go so far as the Ripper went...and he focused almost exclusively on women who "slept rough" and, usually, supplemented their income with prostitution. Deaming, apparently, married his victims. Very different outside of a few surface similarities
That first case I've heard of on some other channel, but not in this much detail. He certainly was a ne'er do well. Glad justice finally caught up to him.
I acquired a copy of the transcript of the entire Gordon Cummins trial which was printed as a hardback book and sent out to legal firms once the trial was over. No analysis, just a verbatim record of the trial. Makes for fascinating reading.
Babes in the woods case, I know it would be tedious but the number of prisoners that died between 1957-1960 is 113 in total,it could be reduced again by the number of those men that were already incarcerated at the time of the murders, then reduced to only those serving minor sentences etc.... I think it's possible to identify this man and perhaps discover his guilt or innocence
Deeming enjoyed the long-con with women. He seems to have taken time and effort to gain their intimate trust, one by one. Marie was likely aware of the cons and the new bigamous marriage. She tried to live apart from him. Didn't stick. What a wild life they had together. Poor kids. Definitely not the Ripper.
I so hope you see this..Mr well I never 😊... please don't change what you're doing...to many AI channels out there..no research or commitment..thank you.. Hello well I never family ❤
I just got a notice from TH-cam that my comment had been removed for cyber bullying on this channel and I watched this a while back and I'm sure I didn't cyber bully anyone. YT is trippin about nothing. And have accused me of something I didn't even do. I've never had negative comments for anyone in these videos. He covers some people that aren't worth a lot to the human race but I don't believe I need to state the obvious, so I don't.
Actually I had no phone service and the like isn't checked so I didn't even see this until now. I'm in the path the hurricane took through through NC. No power no phone service not even just using my data so I couldn't have watched or commented on this video. YT is trippin as usual. I don't understand how they came up with this 💩
How strange....You Tube was just playing its algorithm , it's 1.57 am, and just getting into bed, and saw a familiar looking lake.... Duchess Pond. Had to re-wind 1:32:13 Haven't heard of this crime, but that was once a lovely area, long before the M32 motorway was built. Strangely, I always found Snuff Mills an eerie place. A friend has a theory that wooded areas near Cities are often used by ne'er do wells.
Personally I don't believe he was the ripper, their MO may have had similarities but the style was completely different. I think it fair to say Bellas murder was solved, as a guilty man hides the evidence. however justice wasn't served. Poor little babies, I hope they are reunited with their parents in the other realm. R.I.P innocent angels.
The one to blame for the loss of the 2 small children is their mother that let a 5 and 7 year old wonder off alone, while she stayed home painting. If that happened today she would be charged with child neglect.
You have to understand that this was widely done and accepted at the time. People didn’t dream of someone harming their children so kids were regularly sent on errands for their parents or just go out and play in the woods…..(even toddlers were allowed to play outside by themselves without adult supervision.) It was a normal way of life.
What Donald Hume did was horrific. However, I can't help but have a certain amount of sympathy for him. It seems as though he was so unloved in his childhood.
The Blackout Ripper may be the most terrifying killer ever. Also I dated a man that would have looked up to him so that could be why I find him so terrible
Excellent, hopefully you'll be encouraged to add to these..compulsive viewing..One query.. You're the only non-American I've heard mispronounce 'Cecil' (sessil) as seesil.. where did that come from ? :>)
Just had to drop in and comment about how easy it is to read the title of this video in two different ways... The "Dr. Who" killed for money... OR The doctor who killed for money... Just sayin'... 😂
Fab cases of abuse, loneliness, and the usual greed. I like when u mention her work as a domestic and show a woman in a maid uniform with a big duster. 😹
I had a rough day at work and this is the balm for my frazzled soul. Thank you so much.
This narrator is the best storyteller on TH-cam!
Yes, I agree
Love his videos as well!
Hands down. This two hour episode is a real treat. I’m probably going to fall asleep by the 15minute mark though 😂
