    Finally wrapped this one up! This was the video I have been attempting to make ever since mentioning in the procrastination video:
    Can procrastination be a good thing? How to practice productive procrastination 👉 th-cam.com/video/2l8ipsYHJvw/w-d-xo.html

    From the way this video is filmed and edited I just assumed this was a more established channel so genuinely surprised to see it’s only a few months in. Some great points in the video, definitely learned something! Keep up the grind

    Teaching a child to LOVE learning is the key to lifelong curiosity

    Sometimes ex's aren't trolls, sometimes, and are actually genuinely happy to see the success of someone who touched their lives. Very valuable life skills you're sharing. Proud for you. Go Dan!

    I have always said that I want to look at things like looking through the eyes of a child. There is so much you miss when you just look at life from a high level.

      Definitely something I've been trying to focus on more myself, too!

    I really love your point about how curiosity helps us perceive subtleties in the colour spectrum regardless of which dialect of German we speak. This is such a well thought out video; it was worth the wait 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

    Super interesting. I dont fully agree with you that curiosity makes you more observant. In my opinion, more observant people are more apt to be curious. But I think you did see a reciprocal relationship there.

      I see what you're saying. And it can definitely seem a bit chicken or the egg, for sure. What the research suggests is that before you become observant, which is an active state, you need intent, which is where curiosity comes in. But I do agree with you that there becomes a virtuous cycle, for sure. Keeping in mind that folks aren't curious in the same way of course 👍

    I got here via your vid on ISO so that's my curiousity for you. Another info packed vid. Where you use the word curiousity I tend to use the word creativity but maybe difficult to separate one from the other like almost identical twins. I have not seen your vid on procrastination yet. I keep thinking that I will but.......? Oh and never forget your "inner child"😀

      Gonna put that one off for another day, eh? 😉 and yes, I definitely think curiosity and creativity are kindred spirits.

    I'm curious, when people are telling you a story or situation that takes more the half hour, Do you listen to the full bit or do you ask questions along the way?

    • @DanFox
      @DanFox  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      🤣🤣
      Personally, I almost always ask questions. Helps me stay on the same page and engage better with them. Depends on the setting/environment though.

      Then again, I may be weird lol. I'm also a person who encourages people to interrupt me with questions when I'm presenting at conferences and stuff. I'd rather keep the audience interested and engaged by not losing them along the way than get through 100% of my content. That's an interesting challenge behind video actually - you don't get that real time feedback.
