I have seen a great notice to switch the AHCI to IDE or IDE to AHCI, but could not find it in Lenovo bios. Wasted about 4-5 hours, but then found this video, and this helped. Bro, I wish you all the best, you are a saver!

Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooo much, I got a new laptop and I'm a curious 15 yo and I love everything updated and optimized so I went to update bios and it ended up giving me this error after turning off and on several times, I was on the verge of tears because i didnt want another problem and my parents would get soooooo mad because my old laptop was unfixable because of a motherboard issue and there were no replacement parts. I ran Lenovo Vantage last night it said I had an update for my BIOS, after 5th status bar finished my Lenovo Yoga abruptly shut down, rebooted then shut down, rebooted with that inaccessible boot device. I followed your instructions and my laptop is functioning again. Thanks just doesn't seem enough. I won't be using Vantage again. Is this issue solution specific to Intel CPU based model of this laptop, or would it also work when the Ideapad is equiped with a AMD Ryzen CPU, but under a different name?
Not sure if AMD has something similar, but you can try setting RAID to AHCI

My dad has the same laptop and issue. But no 'Intel VMD Controller' to disable. Is there something else in this menu I can try disabling?

for me my laptop can boot up but sometimes got that BIOS error and the system restart it self.
My laptop is Idepad Gaming 3 AMD Ryzen version, does the solution same as yours?

in configration i only got "Sata controller Mode" option and this has only one option further "AHCI". there is no intel VMD controiller in my laptop. How to fix this
