I thought of 2 things you could do to get a better result. 1. Track supports. If you were to add some straight wood or metal along both sides of the track, it should keep it perfectly safe. 2. Check the track connection. Because the Hotwheels tracks are simply connected together by small plates, they do not have much security along the walls of the tracks. You will find that every point that two tracks are connected together, the walls are not aligned. Even if it takes some time, i would recommend aligning the walls so that the cars do not catch on them and fly off when they are going down the track.
