the ses need to help people cut down or prune a tree on a normal day if there's a risk of a tree falling and damaging property or risk of injuring to person or persons so that problems can be solved before they become an issue during bad whether it would also help to save lives and take the load of emergency services allowing more time for other emergencies of course the SES could use it as a part of their training but people can also pay a donation if they wish to help the SES service just thought that this would be a good idea to free up time and catch a issue before it gets out of control
At 52 years old I am still extremely fit having competed in some endurance sports and really considering joining the SES..

no way, these people should pay a licenced contractor to perform their yard and house maintenance. SES should not be seen as a free labor service.
